hey guys, i was just wondering about what kind of charger to get for rechargeable batteries. Which is better? Nitecore i2 or D2? if there are other good types lmk also.
D2 has the digital LCD display and also has slow 300mah charging, get that one
D2 has -dv/dt, which makes it better than the i2 if you add nimh to your mix.
Huh? I thought the i2 (and i4 that I used to own and definitely charged nimh) did them no problems.
The ‘i’ will charge nimh, but might miss terminations as it does not use -dv/dt. HKJ noted in his review that he wondered about terminations, and Ive read of a couple of people who say their Nitecore ‘i’ series killed nimhs.
If I wanted to charge nimhs in it, Id always opt for the D series out of the two.
I’m using an XTAR VC4! or you could always go for the BC3100 v2.2
I own the D2 and ike it a lot. Like the LCD display. Like the ability to manually set it to charge at 300 for the smaller batteries. Each bay is independent so you can put any type battery in each bay without worry. But it does take a long time to charge at 300 but I am not in a hurry.
