Meanwhile, I put in a separate claim for my long lost Red Convoy S2+.
8/24/2015 _ Ordered one Red Convoy S2+.
10/18/2015 _ I put in a claim ticket requesting refund or re-send item.
10/19/2015 _ Gearbest responded that the package was sent and that it should be delivered by October 26.
10/19/2015 _ I responded that I will wait until October 26 before taking any further action.
Note: With a stated delivery time of 10-25 business days, that would mean that the package left their store between September 21st and October 12. There is nothing on the order tracking information other than the last update on 8/26/2015, which reports update information as “undefined”.
Update:
10/26/2015 _ Deadline for the promised delivery.
10/27/2015 _ Sent a message to Gearbest apprising them that the flashlight was not delivered and requesting an immediate refund.
10/27/2015 _ Gearbest responded by asking me to confirm my shipping address and to check the local post office to see whether they were holding the package.
10/28/2015 _ I checked the Main Post Office, nothing there. I sent a message to Gearbest, confirming my address and apprising them that the Post Office had no record of and could not find the missing package.
Awaiting response from Gearbest.
It looks like this case will soon be headed for a PayPal dispute.

Does anybody else have a problem with unanswered tickets recently? Normally GB replies to my tickets, but the recent ones remain “processing” with no feedback at all. Started last week.
I think they got problems with the masses of service requests flooding their ticket system. It seems, a lot of orders from around end of July to end of August somehow “disappeared” from the radar…

Very disappointing.
They replied to mine, but I only recieved an email notification for 1 of 3 replies. I’m very disappointed with their customer service and their slimy tactics.

GOODNEWS!!
10/29/2015 _ Gearbest decided to give me a refund!
They gave me a few choices for the refund, I chose the GB Wallet because I believe that to be the fastest to process. The last time, it only took them two days to post the credit to my GB Wallet. We’ll see if they match that speed this time.
UPDATE:
11/3/2015 _ Gearbest credited my GB Wallet with the full amount owed. CASECLOSED!

Rule 1-1 as it applies to life, take it as it comes.
Another dissatisfied customer, not very happy with GB.
A few lost orders, one order took over 2 months, etc.
Ordered something, paid for it on AUG-02.
Supposedly GB shipped it on AUG-17 OCT-30, nothing.
Tickets wants me to harass people at the post office, which I declined, and just went straight to PayPal dispute.
Ive used paypal for OVER 10 YEARS, and this is the first time Ive ever used the dispute system, GearBest sucks that bad.
They should call themselves GearWorst.
As a vendor, GB, you should be ashamed of yourself, for slow orders, lost shipments, negligent customer care, the works.
By contrast Ive ordered a boatload of Chinese junk via Ebay, like lights, a wallet, molle stuff, knives, paracord, patches, nerf bullets, digital watches, 2 automatic seikos, a canteen, etc. Every single order was received MONTHS before GB.
I should have known better than to keep ordering from them after months of reading in all these Gearbest threads that stay on the front page. Something needs to be done about it. Browsing through the sellers spot, there are retailers that post about their website and after a few members post their bad experiences they get avoided by other BLF members. Gearbest has been getting away with it for months.
I’ve got two orders I have a problem with. One order I bought a Xtar headlamp that didn’t come with the clip. Xtar said the retailer handles all their customer support and warranty issues, PMed CSGearbest and she said they couldn’t get one from their supplier. I asked if Xtar was their supplier and she stopped responding.
The other order, from early August, never showed up. After getting the usual runaround from CSGearbest, (check address, check post office, 50% rebate to wallet, pay 50% to resend) she agreed to fully refund to PayPal. I got a PM from her October 28th saying check your PayPal in 3 to 7 days. After 7 days I checked PayPal, no refund. I decided to check the Gearbest wallet and there it sat. PMed her back on November 4th that the refund was in Gearbest wallet instead of PayPal. Got a reply the next day,
“Thank you for your reply.
Sorry for the inconvenience due to system operation.
We have applied the refund on your paypal account.
Please kindly check it in 3-7 business days.”
PMed her on November 10th that I still haven’t gotten a refund, no reply.
PMed her again yesterday asking how long it would take, and she still hasn’t replied.
I always wondered why some members say go straight to PayPal, when there is a Gearbest customer service rep here. Now I know why.

Hi cavesprings,
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
It takes time to tranfer the amount from GB wallet to Paypal account.
We have tried to refund you at the first time but it failed. We have replied you in PM.
We will try our best to improve our service.
We appreciate your kind understanding.

I agree. GearBest are scammers. They take orders for products they don’t even have and then you’re supposed to be thankful if you get the product six months later. If your light is defective, they will offer you a nickel for your troubles.
I wish BLF community would stop posting about GearBest so much because new users order from there and then they get pissed because GearBest scammed them and then the new users won’t want to be a part of the flashlight community anymore.
I find it really disgusting how many threads there are that mention GearBest in the title. They sell FAKE convoy lights…
Can’t agree more…
They are more present on the forum than Banggood or Fasttech or other well known sellers, despite being the worst !
I never had a worse buying experience on online store in 10 years of chinese crap supplying.
They are providing incredible price, unbeatable deals…that they finally can’t bear !
And then, they offer us to refund in your “wallet” (on THEIR store) so you can buy things at normal price and give them more money…

I think a big part of why they aren’t shunned more is their willingness to discuss/do custom group buy lights. I think Banggood is missing the boat, if Neal was as willing to set up custom group buy runs they would massively cut into not only GB’s group buys, but their regular sales too as BG’s name becomes tied to the collective subconscious as the store that is not only doing a better job with customer service (and shipping) but also working with our members as partners in the evolution of flashlights.
Unlike a lot of guys here I’ve been lucky enough to have almost no problems with gearbest, but I’m old enough now to understand that luck doesn’t hold forever when the chances of a bad experience seem to be this high. Gearbest will continue to get my money for group buys I like and things I can’t find elsewhere, but I always get tracking and insurance knowing that without them my chances of a bad experience grow exponentially.
Today, I received an email notice from GearBest saying there was a response to a support ticket I’d filed. This struck me as odd since I hadn’t submitted any support request in weeks. It turned out there were three responses to three different support tickets posted to my GearBest account. There are a few pesky problems however:
Each message was addressed to someone named “Camilo.” My name is not Camilo.
The responses were made to Camilo’s complaint about the delay in shipping a Niteye EC-R16 light he’d ordered. While I did order a Niteye EC-R16 on October 30, an order which GearBest still has not shipped, I hadn’t complained about the delay (yet).
GearBest Support gave Camilo (and presumably me) three options: (1) Wait another estimated 15-25 business days. GearBest blamed Niteye for the delay. (2) Cancel the order and use the proceeds to purchase another product from GearBest. (3) Cancel the order and have a refund posted to GearBest “Wallet” (store credit). The choice of getting a full refund posted to a credit card was not offered. No surprise there.
I checked GearBest’s website and they’re still advertising the Niteye EC-R16 while saying “Ships within 4-10 business days.” That was what GearBest claimed when I ordered my EC-R16 two weeks ago. GearBest sent me three messages today (addressed to another customer) saying there would be a further delay of at least 15-25 business days while advertising to prospective customers shipment of Niteye EC-R16s within 4-10 business days.
I have had a bellyful of GearBest’s unethical business practices. I requested GearBest to cancel my order and post a full refund to my credit card, not my GearBest “Wallet.”
Hi Skytrooper,
I’m really sorry if this bring you any trouble, at the beginning, the supplier told us they have the stocking, so we start it, but after we order from them, they told me the manufacturer has some design problem, so need to delay to ship to us, beg your kindly understanding
if you don’t want to wait, then please contact our Support Center http://support.gearbest.com/ to cancel the order
