Mini Review Yezl T4 CREE Q5 5-mode

Just another Mini Review, I haven't seen anyone talk about this light before so I thought I would give my rundown.

This light was bought at http://www.cnqualitygoods.com/goods.php?id=1063

I pretty much bought this light based on looks and I still think its a great looking flashlight! This is not a twister but a slide front to back zoom. The beam looks like the typical cheap-o zoom, from super tight square led beam to a huge flood with no hot spots. Not a bad thing IMO

Fit and finish I would rate this as a 4-4.5 star the threads are great, the knurling is the best I have ever seen in a flashlight (my experience is limited) overall its a beautiful finish My only fault is with the fit, the zoom has some wobble in it. If not I would rate it as 5 stars.

Brightness I would only rate it as a 2 star but you should get some long run times out of it. Some Tail cap readings....

x-tar 2600 1.23A
Hi-max 2600 1.17A
2250IMR 1.30A

It looks like it is well regulated, on some of my lights the 2250IMR added almost a full amp in some higher draw lights!

Final thoughts, it does tail stand, has the glow clicker, 5 modes (not a fan but ohh well)and has a plastic lense. The finish on this thing still floors me. I have had some other people look at this light and most of them say pretty much the same thing... Wow I bet that thing was spendy!

Overall I would give it a 4 star. If it wasn't for the low light output and the wobble zoom I would give it a 5 star.

Looking at your draw figures it seems that Q5 is very well driven, far better than with most similar zoomies...

Do you be any chance have a Sipik SK68/clone with 14500 to compare it to? My bet is that this Yezl will be noticeably brighter.

The only other zoomie I have is this cheap little $10 ebay special. Actually I have been very happy with it. and have not had any problems but the tail cap readings look a little, or a lot high.

TF flame 1.7A
Xtar 2600 1.78A
hi-max 2600 1.6A
2250IMR 2.05A

Yes, very high unless its an XP-G or XM-L, which seems unlikely.
