Gearbest has two interesting chargers-power banks EDIT: Actually NOT power banks.

Any ideas how good these could be? It appears by the pictures that they could be made by Shadow?
18650 says that it comes with 4057, perhaps they mean TP4057.
18650
26650
(none of that is affil spam)

Looking into either getting one of these for my protected 18650(will try my luck shortening spring inside charger) or Xiaomi 5000mAh LyPo or 10’000mAh power bank.

Or should I take the risks and buy one :D?

Those look like they are just chargers, not power banks. Although the 26650 is printed as having a 4.2 Volt output, but I assume that just means to the battery. Neither of these have the normal USB connecters to let them be used as power banks.

I'll stick with my Xtar MC1 as a cheap portable travel charger, thanks.

The 18650 seems to be a power bank after all:

Yeah, I didnt pay attention to the description, just ran over it quickly, still, they are listed as power banks, I guess GearBest rep could bring some clarity to this question.

Looks like just a charger.
In that picture it seems the red led one is just photoshopped in there to show the colors side by side. They are not connected together.

But it is a nice looking charger. Claims to be aluminum.

No usb output connector… So…

Just get one of these power banks https://www.fasttech.com/product/1932501-a7-2-0-screen-single-core-gsm-phone-w-led

Weirdest thing I have ever seen

I know. All it needs is a 510 connector for vaping on

Just get the Xiaomi

I got 2 10000mha for Christmas gifts, then i got the 16000mha for myself & yesterday my sister ordered 2 more, the new extra thin 5000mha & the big 16000mha & is gifting the one i gave her to my father.

My point is they are so good you will get more, the value is unbeatable. And you can charge from it while you are charging it up.

Yeah, I ordered Xiaomis 10A model from GB, hope to receive it soonish.

It was real cheap, less than 14$, somewhat equalled out the fact that I ordered MiBand for 16+$ and the next day it was on sale for less than 14$, it was the same with this power bank, it cost more when I looked at it the first time, but less when I took a second look and decided that it is time to order it  !

I think the Miller ML-102 is still the winner in this category. I’ve seen tests showing 1.8A output, and this is consistent with my experience. My Nexus 5 shows that the battery is charging at around 1000mA no matter what’s running on it while charging from the ML-102. Even 10” iPads gain some charge when plugged in to the ML-102 while turned on. Protected cells don’t always fit, but if you trim a bit of plastic behind the spring on the negative side, it works.

There are different ML102 versions, some with lesser components, others with higher charge rates etc.

They dont make ’em like they used to anymore :)!

I have three V7s, which appear to deliver the 1.8A I’ve seen reported in online reviews. I hear the V7 doesn’t completely stop delivering current when it’s done charging a cell though, and that could be bad if it was left plugged in for days. V8 reportedly fixes that issue.

Banggood have some of these with discount.

I bought the 10400mAH Xiaomi a few months ago and am very happy with it. As one of the larger capacity chargers it’s hard to beat. The price for the unit is generally between $15 and $16. High on quality and performance.

I ordered one of these based on the understanding that it was also a power bank. Price was low enough to buy what I thought was a 18650 charger and power bank. After learning that it wasn’t a power bank I asked for a refund as the item hadn’t been sent. Gearbest support acted on my request promptly and within a few days my money was refunded. In hindsight the photos and description didn’t contain sufficient detail on the output which should have raised some doubts but I took the risk. The design looks good, but I only wanted on had it been a charger and power bank which it was not.

Those Xiaomis are a good deal, but sealed power banks seem silly when I have a bunch of 18650s sitting around. I’d rather being able to swap between flashlights and power banks as suits my needs at the time.
