Zebralight H302W - any owners?

Getting my 1st Zebralight on Friday. I have wanted a Zebralight for forever. With some 50+ lights in my collection not sure why I have never purchased one before. Very hard to get a discount on one. Got the H302W from Andrew-Amanda the other day with a 25% off coupon. I love floody lights so looking forward to this offering, and it’s so tiny.

Anyone own this light? If so, opinions please. Lumens and run times line up to specs? Ill do a review after I receive it. Yea, wanted the H602W as well :stuck_out_tongue:

thanks…

patrick

Got my light today. My 1st Zebralight! Won’t be my last! WHY did I wait so long? One of the very best lights in my collection! I could easily get rid of all my lights and happily get by with a few Zebralights. Absolutely amazing. The UI is TERRIFIC. I knew all this, for some reason I just never purchased one. This one is a CR123, and is tiny, and a mule flooder, 120 degrees. Hoo-yah!

Nice, now for your review with pictures…… With ownership comes responsibility… Just sayin’

From what I’ve seen, ZL’s specs are generally correct except for the lumen output on moon modes. If it says 0.3 lm, it’s probably actually 0.1 lm.

I prefer the F frosted models like H52Fw over the 0 mule models like H302. They are still very smooth, but they get brighter at the center. The 0 models are better for looking at a wall while facing it, but the F models are better for looking forward outdoors or other places where things get farther away toward the center of your vision.

I have the SC31W , which I love —the build is amazing—except that the electronic switch is too easily activated in my preferred pocket carry mode.

I’m looking for a way to “protect” the switch. I’d like to find a shallow ring/riser that I could glue on top of the current “switch bezel” to give it a bit more height, so the switch would seem recessed within.

review, in time……

Yes ToyKeeper, this was a tough decision as I really wanted the H600FW. Really great thread over at the other place on the H600 and its variations. Another great option is the H600W with the diffuser film, which you are aware of. And yes, you are right about the moonlight mode!

this is just a starting point for me

assorted pictures/thoughts:

tiny; runs on CR123, 16340 protected and unprotected cells. Switch is recessed to avoid accidental activation. Removable pocket clip. I hear they have improved the headband, don’t know as I don’t use as a headlamp :stuck_out_tongue:

glows in the dark, like it or not.

with EagleTac D25AAA and DQG Fairy. H302W is 2.7” in length.

That looks great, thank you for the perspective shot with the Fairy and the ET. It is tough sizing something with a ruler, compared to when you have something you can actually handle. I had a Fairy, so that ZL is pretty small if it is only that big next to a Fairy.

You don’t use it as a headlamp? Odd.

Then again, I find these work well as sort of a necklace, and it normally stays clipped to my purse for hands-free use.

Well, if one wants a mule with 120 degree spill, they are limited to headlamp only.

Only other desire for this light is a magnetic tailcap!

Nice pictures, looks like a great little light!
