How much would you like to pay for this 500 Lumen Extendable and flexible flashlight?

Hello Guys,

An extendable and flexible flashlight has been released by Brontelight Technology.

It will change your imagine and understanding on “extendable and flexible”. The Pictures and main parameters are as follows:

The formal size of this portable flashlight :

When it is extended, its size is:

Surely,if you want to stash in pocket,it can be detached.

Its strong magnetic tail cap makes it easily attached on metal items to release your hands for other jobs.

So how much would you like to pay for this item?

I think your link is broken.

I didn’t see any specs on led type. Maybe a little more technical info would help in determining the price. Also, I usually think of ‘flexible’ as bendable.

Depends mostly on

  1. what cells (AA? Li-ion?)
  2. what pill (solid? hollow?)
  3. what emitter (less important, assuming I’ll replace it anyway
  4. what driver (ditto on replacing it)
  5. flexibility — if it’s AA-size, using two tube extenders will allow it to take 3xAA cells in series— voltage about the same as one li-ion AA cell. That would be excellent.

Looks nice. I like the blue o-ring. Clip is a bit odd imho.

Agree more technical details need to be known to judge it’s value. The quality of the product also plays a part which is hard to assess from some photos. It could be a $15 low end torch or higher quality $50+ flashlight.

Judging by the pricing elsewhere on Bronte products it’s not a low end product. I suggest you improve on the way you promote your items on your website to be more informative. You could always send me one and I’ll produce a review of it and post it in this forum

$24 the most.

Specs look good. My price estimate would be about $25, maybe higher if the quality is high.

“operating voltage .9 - 9v” That means 2x 14500 capable… or is it a typo?

Anyway, if that is right, then it has a couple features not really common in most flashlights (1x/2x AA/14500, magnetic tailcap)

I’d be interested in seeing a review on it.

Perhaps in the $30-40 range from everything presented in this thread.

How have you measured those lumens?
Are 500 ANSI NEMA FL-1 lumens?
500 ANSI? lumens; with 1 NIMH,2 XNiMH,1X14500,2X14500?…

Looks a lot like the Solarstorm SC01, SC02, SC03 except it has an extension. I would say $18 to $19 max.

This looks very much like my Olight S15 in design, specs, battery requirements, etc.
My S15 with the 2-AA extender is my favorite 2-AA light of all time.
if the price was right, and it included the extender, i would probably buy a fewof them.

The Olight S15:

If it is fexible, then does it bend?

Here “flexible” refers to the body can be prolonged by adding an extra tube.

It may upend your definition of “flexible”

Being an Olight S15 Baton clone, is it Olight level quality, and will you sell it cheaper, like 25 dollar instead of 50? (I hope for yes and yes :-) )

The head remember me the Thrunite Archer v2, and I can ensure you, is not Olight quality (the Archer V2), about this Bronte I can not say…
Seems a little Olight S15 a little Archer V2 and a little Solarstorm SC…

(I repeat, my question Bronte: Lumens measured, how?, what standard?, what battery for this data?…)

Delete the word flexible, it does not mean what you think it means.

Flexible does not only mean bendy or supple. It has other meanings also so it is ok in the title

Can I get it with TWO extensions, so it work as a 3xAA light using NiMH?

Have you read the entire thread? People think it bends. Flashight+extension would have sufficed.

Flexible might not be the best way to describe it, but it is perfectly fine and adequate, as it is offering “flexible” battery options. People who think it bends are being; stupid, dumb or argumentative.
