[25-JUN-2015] A few new forum categories

Hi everyone, HKJ gave me a good suggestion of creating a new category to clean up some of the Gear for Flashlight Carriers sticky reviews. So I’m happy to announce the following new categories:

• http://budgetlightforum.com/forum/misc/gear/reviews “User reviews and tests of knives, multi-tools, and all sorts of other EDC accessories”
• http://budgetlightforum.com/forum/batteries/usb-power “Here you can discuss anything from chargers with USB output, to portable rechargeable battery banks for USB peripherals”
  • http://budgetlightforum.com/forum/batteries/usb-power/reviews “User reviews and tests for things like chargers with USB output and portable rechargeable battery banks for USB peripherals”
• http://budgetlightforum.com/forum/batteries/chargers/reviews “For tests and reviews by our users of all sorts of battery chargers”

I tried to move the posts that were in the Gear section into one of the more specific new sections above, but I probably missed some. Feel free to move your own threads using the “Forums:” dropdown menu just below the “Subject” field when editing your thread.

I thought this was here already, just focused (pun intended) on the shiny things first, then the pointy ones then the other stuff… Seriously more practical stuff here than most places on the web until you hit the bushcraft sites… Those guys edc is a handfull of bark and some ants for lunch, cant pare it down much more than that… And a MoraKniv of course…

Without light, or without sufficient light, a lot less is possible… I would rate at least a small AAA light right up there with a small knife for priority. With a knife and no light, I am useless for much of the time I may need to be using a knife or doing other tasks. Without a knife and having a light, I can still do things, but doing stuff in the dark is 10X harder than with even a “wimpy” 10 lumen light…

Since being here, I have revalued every old laptop battery pack for its “pull” potential, hell the A123 cells can start cars apparently… I mean a lot of stuff here we take for granted, but even having some light is a very good thing in EDC, emergency or not… Just my opinion…
