Is the Samsung 20S in the queue? It's supposed to be the top 18650 performer - would be great if you can get a pair to test. The 24S is also good but hard to find. I have a couple 20S's, think bought here, in stock: https://www.18650batterystore.com/18650-p/samsung-20s.htm

Thanx HKJ! Ohh, I see the Vapcell black 2000 is listed as a 20S for $8 here: https://www.18650batterystore.com/18650-p/vapcell-18650-2000mah.htm, and the real 20S is listed at $5. Wow!

That was fast! Thanx!

Edit: Yes, very close, slightly better than the Vapcell 2000 black. Discharge curves align well.

I have just recieved two of these 32650 LiFePO4 cells: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/32650-3-2-v-7000-mah-lifepo4-oplaadbare-b...
Tested with a HTRC B6V2 Balance charger at 2A discharge current they are about 6500mAh.
These will be used to replace a 6V / 4Ah lead-acid battery in a solar powered light (as soon as i get the 2S balance boards https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/2S-8A-Li-ion-7-4v-8-4V-18650-BMS-PCM-15A-Peak-current-battery/32800676048.html?spm=a2g0z.10010108.1000013.3.3e367ecfk06lou&pvid=fbbf3d65-a32c-4bf2-8991-8767aa669f45&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.90158.0&scm-url=1007.13339.90158.0&scm_id=1007.13339.90158.0 )

Newbie here and hello to all….

I have a collection of NiMh and for the price and availability, Ikea batteries are pretty good.

Henrik, did the EAIEP cells arrived? Just curious, I know super cheap shipping can be super slow but, by this time, they should be at home. Question

Welcome newbie. This thread is for battery review requests for HJK but in time you will figure where to post what. Again, welcome to BLF!

It makes it easier to find it when the request includes a link where I can buy it (Remember I am in Europe, this means mostly from Europe and part of Asia).

Sorry man. It’s not for sale until February. Taobao is supposed to have it. I just wanted a rechargeable 123a that puts out just 3 volts.

Thanks dude. You have to buy a separate charger though. Guess I’ll just go with throwaway cr123a’s for now.

Not really a problem, there are inexpensive and good chargers which can cope with LiFePO4 cells. As most notable examples the LiitoKala Lii-202 and Lii-100. This is not for sloppy users, to charge LiFePO4 cells you will have to press the MODE button to swap charging mode to Li-Fe upon cell insertion. A very easy thing to perform once accustomed.

Choosing this path will make you save money sooner or later; quite soon I'd say given the price Facepalm of CR123A non-rechargeable lithium cells.

Molicel P26A 18650?

https://eu.nkon.nl/rechargeable/18650-size/molicel-p26a-imr18650-2600mah...

I also searched for a European source for the 4000mAh 21700 Molicel P42A but could not find one.

I have 3 Molicel in queue, the P26A will probably be published this month.

Here : https://www.fogstar.co.uk/products/molicel-p42a

In Great Britain, a little expensive, but the only one and NPE approved so Grade A Cells guaranted.

And Fogstar.UK has the same batch of Molicel P42A than Li-ion Wholesale visibly, look at her pictures!

Quick question for Henrik: how/where did you got the Turnigy sub-C 5000mAh cells you reviewed? May need a cheap way to get one or two.

I recently bought two 7,2V Turnigy Stick Packs made with them, for drill battery pack restoration. After dismantling the packs measured all cell voltages, all of them were close to 1,3V except one at 1,235V. Re-raised its voltage to 1,304V and I have it under observation, but looks like it self-discharges Flat Stare quicker than the rest.

Hello HKJ,

I know, that it is not rechargeable, but did you consider reviewing the Soshine AA and AAA 1.5V lithium primaries? For some low drain applications, those could be a good choice as an ‘alkaleak’ replacement.
