Howdy, guys. I'm still not back modding yet after my shoulder surgery. But I thought I would pick out a super light and offer it up for sale and gets some parts ordered for when I'm up to it.
It's J-19 That I have put De-Domed MT-G2's in. I don't remember the exact bin of the emitters but I know they are either the very newest or the second so they are the more expensive ones anyway. They are on Noctigons of course.
They are wired in parallel with as heavy of wire as I could use and still get the light to focus correctly. 18 gauge if I remember correctly. I modded this a while back and have been using it, so all the bugs are worked out and it functions perfectly.
It's powered by two batteries and a BLF driver that on turbo is direct drive. So with the emitters wired in parallel each emitter is getting the full power of both batteries. Obviously this means that the brightness on turbo will go down as the batteries drain. But considering it takes 32650's or 26650's the run time is still pretty good. It's a five mode driver with them all evenly spaced. Turbo steps down to high after 2 minutes of use. Low is very low for three MT-G2's.
Some of you know that I'm not a big fan of posting numbers so I will be very conservative and just say that it will do 6,000 lumens and 125kcd. That was tested with my batteries that are not nearly new and I had used them the night before. So they were not at a full charge. This is a good estimate of what you will get while you are actually out using it and not just trying to see what it is maxed out.
To your eye this light will appear much brighter than your average high lumen plunger light because it has a very intense hot-spot. The tint is just perfect it's a very nice neutral tint that makes colors pop out very well.
