My guy in Japan sends me pictures of the auto part I ordered from a Japanese auction site. He packages it and messages me a tracking number when done. I was able to see it right away on the shipping website. Later he sent me another email saying that it was just picked up by Japan Post. Just out of curiosity I checked the website again and I was able to see the update almost instantaneously.
I think to myself wouldn't it be nice if all of our packages from abroad get the same treatment?
I'm seriously thinking about employing similar methods in most of my purchases from China. I'm speaking of utilizing a buying agent of sorts. The product is sent to them and they ship it to you after they inspect it. I don't mind paying someone else to deal with logistics and issues when the product isn't what is advertised. Sometimes they can help you find things you're not able to.
Now I just need to find that guy!
