Quick Review - TrustFire DF-007 CREE L2 LED 800 Lumens 4.2V 26650 Diving Flashlight Black

I purchased this light from Tinywind. I used a coupon from Tinywind that paid for part of the light. Tinywind has given out lots of coupons lately, resulting in BLF members getting some pretty good deals.

Light arrived in 8 days WoW!, and well packaged.

It is a real Trustfire.
Dull anodizing that comes on the better lights, It does have a few very small nicks in the anodization but otherwise perfect.
XML2 - cool white but not too blue.

Square threads
Nice cooling fins, fairly thin, which makes sense to me.
Heavy light weighing 350 grams with battery on my scale.
Nice strong looking lanyard in larger size that should work with gloves.
2.7 amps on highest setting with EVVA 26650 battery
I do not know if this light will be waterproof at 100 feet or not but after feeling the way the o-rings made nice tight contact I knew it would be watertight in the sink.

Really good tail lockout with a slight turn. This light needs this as the switch is very easy to turn the light on.
To turn the light on just slide the switch towards the front of the light. It has variable dimming. Slide switch forward to turn on and more forward for more power, Full forward is full power.
There are no blinky modes in this flashlight! Too bad all lights did not come this way.
I would say the advertised 800 lumens would be accurate.
Beam pattern is similar to a c8 - flood is not as wide.

My only complaint is that sometimes it flickers. It goes away by playing with the switch a little but in the very low settings it never goes away.

Nice Light.

Edit -
I was not going to take this light apart originally, but,
Light started shutting off randomly and acting really weird, also could hear something rattling inside.
Took the front of the light off and found that the brass retaining ring was loose.
Tightened it and the light works again.
It does still flicker particularly at the very low settings.
Lense is very nice clear plastic 6mm thick. Polycarbonate, lexan?
Oring is thick and soft silicone type.
After seeing how this light is built I think it probably would handle 100 feet depths.
Low voltage protection light shuts off at 3.19 volts.
Seems to have constant current to Led. This light seems to hardly dim as the battery drains. (this is the most annoying thing about most single cell battery lights in my opinion even worse than blinky modes)

Nice review… short and sweet :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks. Nice and concise review!

Great! Thanks for your review, can!
