Which charger + power bank?

Hi guys, the question is very easy: I would like to buy a battery charger that can also work as a power bank too.
My needs are:

  1. can handle both NiMH and Li-On, so from AAA to 26650
  2. can be powered via 12V or at the wall socket or with usb input (like when I am at pc. I spend few hours a day at pc). That for me is VERY important!
  3. work as a power bank
  4. to be run directly via solar panel (that’ will be a must)
  5. cheap :bigsmile:

Well, my first choice was Klarus CH1, 6,65$ at Gearbest, here: Klarus CH1
It was perfect at the first time, but reading review Hkj the output was to high for Nihm :frowning:

Then, I look for XTAR SP1, and now we have a very good offer here: 17,58$ at tinywind With the optional and adjustable charge current: 0.5A, 1.0A, 2.0A was veeeery good, but work only with Lion…and not usb input…

Then, XTAR SP1 was sooo good, but no Nihm…arghhh…look here, is very good charger/powerbank: XTAR SP1

Again, XTAR WP2 II is a good choice, but not for me, because it can’t work with Nihm: XTAR WP2 II 27$

Then I found AccuPower IQ-203, can work with Lion and Nihm, it’s cheap, look here Accupower IQ 203 13$ but without Usb input, only wall socket….

So, I’m getting crazy or I’m asking too much?
Can get some advise/help?

Get 2-3 different devices instead...

I’ve not seen one that’s perfect in every case given your requirements. I too was looking out for a NiMH and LiIon charger with powerbank, but then considered what was more important and just settled on a charger. COnsider what you see as must have and then pick a device that is the closest match. I’d recommend reading many of the HKJ reviews on chargers as he provides great information on the performance of the units.

Well, I would prefer a multi chemistry, because I’ve only another charger, a Nitecore Intellicharge II (4 bays). Do not matter if it’s only 1 or 2 bays…
No matter if it’s no cheap and no matter if I can’t use a solar panel in the future.

What I really want is a multichemistry + Usb in, that are the most important thing for me at the moment.

For example the Miller ML-102 Universal USB Smart Charger (Version 8), Miller on Fasttech 5,96$ is another good choice, but it works only with unprotected 18650 cells (or other Li-on + spacer) :open_mouth:

Xtar XP4 has been working great for me not the best for NiMH but it still charges them enough.

Seems reasonable, to get a all in one item. Plus the reliability of Xtar.
