Same form factor here means shape and proportion. The object is to create a miniature X6. Wink

Good luck on that wish, the smaller copper light is going to be in heavy demand! An easily pocketable 1000+ lumen pocket rocket? Yeah, good luck with that.

#1 Copper host, 14500 sized, same form factor as X6, but scaled down (I thought form factor was size so how can it be scaled down?) (I get it is smaller ie 14500 vs 18650 but is the head the same size or also smaller) sounds like a dumb question but I am unclear about it. #2 I want the 14500 in copper NW I am willing to go in and split a set (because I as yet can not buy just the copper :_( ) any intrested parties?

Not a stupid question but just as Dale says.....a scaled down X6 to make a miniature X6 that will easily fit in a pocket,,,,easier than the X6 already is.

Never hurts to ask about splitting but that little piece of copper will be in very heavy demand. That is why the HAIII set is being offered. Either set is deal at the given prices but even so it will not be difficult to sell off any light that one does not want because these lights are limited and serialized. The moral here is that it is worth buying a set whether it is Al or SS/Cu and if you think about it ....two sets

bugsy36, thanks for taking the time to keep the lists going in Kronos absence. I think something has happened with the numbering on your Aluminium list. I was definitely number 31 on Krono's original list, as it matched for both sets. Now it seems to have jumped one spot. Did someone get added in between? Please would you be kind enough to move it back to pos.31 for us.

EDIT: I think it was because malenurse was missed out, so hopefully he will be alright swapping two positions to put nguyen and myself back as Krono did. Is that cool with you malenurse please mate? Would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

ahirshy wrote:

Please add me for another Aluminium set.

As before, only if its number 31 in the list (I think I've lost track, but it should be unless there's someone snuck in since last update.

Ta mate.

EDIT: just saw that Nguyen might have got in there, hope he doesn't mind switching one place for me to match the sets please?

Also, djozz was kind enough to agree to swap our positions 13 <--> 15 on the Aluminium set (by PM). I'm just waiting to hear back if mizjif was open to the same for the premium set.

I know it's all very petty this numbering thing - but small things amuse small minds as they say! At least its got us all interacting and talking to each other. Great team building!!

Thanks again,

Hirsh

Correct. Malenurse was missed. I am intentionally staying out of the numbering game. I will note that someone wants a certain number but think that both parties should state acceptance in the thread.....and Kronos decide if he wants to do it Smile I am just playing grunt here Smile

Just a heads up.
I’ve PM’d sarge regarding the serial swap (my #20 spot for his #57 spot), as he posted interest before I posted inquiring about getting that number (post #157).

Right! I would like to add Al NW to my prior order.

Here’s a question: Since the Al list is probably going to meet the goal sooner than the Cu list, does that mean the Al lights will go into production sooner or will you wait for all goals to be met?

The truth? ... I don't know. Kronos is the one that may know. It could be that they want to see both meet the goals to go into production but I cannot say that is case for certain without lying. Smile

The SS/Cu list is not doing that bad. I know samples are being made now and are about two weeks away.

I highly doubt that either list will be an issue after the samples come. The thing to remember is that many people still missed out on the X6-SE and many more wished that they bought more then they did. So...even though these are in "numbered" sets I can still see people wanting the X6-SE v2 and getting the K6 (14500) as a welcomed bonus....and the opposite for those that are after the K6.

In my case I bought more than a dozen X6-SE's (I think 18), primarily for gifts and everybody loved them......even the coworkers wives. I am seriously considering a couple more SS/Cu sets and additional Al set for the sole purpose of breaking them up and giving them as gifts. Nobody except us knows that they come in sets so for me that can equal 6 gifts I do not have to look for Smile

Like I said before...these lights are not extravagantly priced at all!

Thanks so much for confirming on the thread Nguyen. That puts me back to where I was (pos.31 to match the premium set) without needing to disrupt MaleNurse. He did also respond as willing to swap but isn't too bothered about position.

So if you're happy at 32 now and MaleNurse is happy staying at 30 we can just leave it there, else you two could also swap if preferred...

Thanks again to you both for entertaining the ridiculousness! Embarassed Innocent

I am also considering a matte black aluminum HAIII version (same finish as original X6-SE) as a lower cost option, estimated around $45/set.

If that’s going to happen, and it’s a 14500-size, ya got me now.

Hank - just like the ss/cu set....two lights. One will be an  X6 w/ 18650 and the other a scaled down version that uses a 14500 battery Smile

Fellow BLF friends Smile .........

For the SS/Cu see these comparisons.

  • Rey BLF-Ti Host Only $50
  • Still need driver and Triple LED and and Triple optic or donor light
  • Rey X6-Ti Host Only $150 (doesn't it look good!) Yes, I really like the X6 Smile
  • Still need driver and Triple LED and and Triple optic
  • Sinner Copper Tri-EDC host $95 (very worthwhile craftsmanship and quality!)
  • Light Engine: $95.00 +$35.00 for dedomed XPL
  • A17DD-S08 FET Driver $15.00
  • Clip $5.00
  • Total $245

The BLF Ti is the most inexpensive for a custom light and that will still end up costing at least $70. The SS/Cu set is only $80 for TWO working lights that have the A17DD-S08 +1 7135 FET Driver flashed with TK's firmware, XPL emitter of your choosing.

Do I like the X6? I may have mentioned that somewhere Smile At these prices AND remembering history....there is no way to go wrong. I would still bet just like the original X6-SE that there will be late-comers or people that just want another AFTER THE DEAL IS OVER. So if you are after just the 14500 you would still be ok. Like the Rey X6-Ti?....well SS can bling just as nice. Point is that we cannot buy just one of the lights offered in the SS/Cu set for $80.

....and yes - I am passionate about this buy (SS/Cu & Al) and I will push for it as hard as I can Smile ...and No, I am not on Kronos' payroll....he's too cheap Tongue Out

As Budget as I am, that is not the reason for me choosing the AL.

The SS X6 while pretty, will not to be able to get rid of heat like the AL can, and it is Heavy.

The copper K6 sounds cool, but heavier, tarnishes, and HAIII Al is just all this poor boy needs.

Thanks,
-Chuck

Hey Chuck, with a proper length of paracord through those perfectly sized lanyard holes, the weight of a SS X6 would be quite easy to manage.
Besides, it would assist in ridding heat when you twirl it around ….. if you know what I mean. Wink
