Has anyone measured the output lumens of this light? My rough by eye assessment is that the medium, which is rated at 400 lumens, is noticeably brighter than my Sunway M40a MCE on high, rated at 500 lumens, with one sample measured as ~450 lumens by selfbuilt. Similarly low, rated at 33, is on a par with my Sunwayman V10A on max, which is said to be ~110 lumens. I know it is hard to compare by eye, as colour balance, spill and throw come into play.
According to Sunwayman, low = 33 lumens for 18 hours. My rough run test gives 26 hours on low, and low must be more like 100 lumens, or maybe more. Given that the Fenix TK41 is rated at 120 lumens for 27 hours on mid, same batteries, both XML emitters, Sunwayman must have mixed up their low runtime. The D40a (4 AA batteries) is rated at 30 lumens for 31 hours. Thus the D80a is rated less than the smaller light. I’ll contact them.
