Crelant v6cs

This light looks interesting. The only review I can find is Crelant V6CS Review | Candle Power Flashlight Forum this is the 710lm version. The one I want is http://www.banggood.com/CRELANT-V6CS-CREE-XML2-Cool-White-960LM-LED-Flashlight-V-Series-p-927648.html 960lm version. Seems like a bargain, with BLF Discount around $25.00. Anybody tried this 960lm version? Thanks

Nice light.

I really like the Crelant lights. The infinite dimming mode is nice, just a bit of a struggle to always get it exactly where you want it…

In my opinion, a really good light

Does it have mode memory? I don’t want to have to adjust the brightness level every time.

As long as you don’t switch off using the back switch, it will remember the level you program. The front switch is high, then the programmable level, then off.

Basically, you can switch it on and off using the back switch. But if you switch it on, and go to the programmable level using the front switch and set it, then you must switch it off using the front switch to be able to access the programmed level again, otherwise it will lose your programmed level. Hope this makes sense…

Would this light require running two 18350 batteries to get the full 960LM. I read in another forum ( based on the type of driver ) that running one 18650 won’t cut it. That analysis was based on the XML Version. This is the newer XM-L2 version. Would anyone happen to know if this version also requires running 2 batteries to achieve the max output? Thanks for the Help

Sorry can’t help you, but output is pretty good with an 18650, so I wouldn’t worry about it…

Thought I would update this Thread. I read several posts mentioning the need to run 2 cells to get max output. Either 2x cr123a or 2x 16340. After testing with 1x 18650 and 2x cr123a, I Noticed no difference in max brightness. Same output with both batt. Configurations. This Version Came from Bangood, ordered on 9/15/15 advertises 960lm with a xm-L2. Very high quality thru-out. I don’t know about 960lm, Looks more like 800lm to my eyes. Overall I’m pleased, for $26.00 it’s a Bargain. http://www.banggood.com/CRELANT-V6CS-CREE-XML2-Cool-White-960LM-LED-Flashlight-V-Series-p-927648.html

I have the 960 lm version and both levels in front switch are programmable.
You can alternate programmable level 1 - programmable level 2 - Off. Programs are remembered until you switch off with the rear switch.

I dedomed the stock led and now it throws 55.000 Cd on a INR 25R at 3,3A.

New version comes with 1053 lm.

Also now in ‘1200 lm’ XP-L, three tints:

At stock setting, highest (usually first) mode is not what flashlight can max do, press and hold the switch, it will got to min, blink several times and then start to ramp up, when it starts blinking again (saying “this is the max”) let off the button and you will have slightly better output than it is stock max

the advertising states don’t use 2, 18350’s. but we all know someone’s gonna try it…anyone? hmmmmm?

I tried your approach. It did respond as you said. Bit the max brightness was not increased on my example.

Did you measure current draw with your multimeter, it’s not that easy to notice the difference just by eye

1200LM, variable dimming, warm white tint … you got my interest!

I just ordered one from GearBest - could not resist for $20.79 shipped in cool white:

$22.60 listed here: http://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_261154.html

$20.79 after applying coupon code: LED2015GB

I plan on modding it out anyway, and been shopping around. Unfortunately the Neutral white is listed at $25 at GB.
