I can’t wait for this one. There’s just something about that copper and that knurling…
I just worry about the clip not being able to hold on to a cap bill with the little extra heaft it has. I wonder if the bend radius of the clip is even large enough to slide all the way onto a cap bill? Can anyone who has one chime in on the quality and construction
Great news. With all the activity going on with the awesome lights on this forum, my Christmas will be a Cool/Neutral/Warm White Christmas and very bright.
Are you still taking orders? If so, I’m in for one!

Been wondering this too…hoping for uncoated…
I am awaiting this light with so many excellent features! And I do believe is has a GITD ring under the lens – yes?

I just picked up a stock CU Tool from the Post Office.
The stock CU Tool does have PWM on medium and low, same as the Maratac. The Tool modes are M-L-H 32lm, 5lm, 110 lm.
Note the BLF ReyLight version uses a different driver and mode sequence, as well as different LED than the stock tool Im posting photos of.
the clickie Tool also works as a twisty. The click switch is audible and positive click on and off. Changing modes requires a half press, that has no click sound.

No it does not go all the way to the first bend in the clip, there is a secondary bend. imo it IS very secure.
imo the CU Tool actually is MORE secure than the CU Maratac, because there is a little more body of the Tool, resting on the hat, so less front heavy. It is also easier to change modes on the clickie, while on a hat, as the twisty interface risks popping the clip off more easily.
The CU Maratac weighs 27 grams empty. The CU Tool weighs 33 grams empty… add 11 gm for an eneloop or 7gm for an ultimate Lithium

UNcoated

Yes there is a green O ring on the lens (GID very little, and not for long)
The Tool will not tail stand, as stated, due to the ears around the cap being too short. A split ring on the ears rubs on the rubber cap,
and a split ring through the hole in the pocket clip, rubs on the body.
Neither imo is ideal, I dont consider this a keyring light. Note that hanging by the split ring on the pocket clip means you can “quick release” the light from the pocket clip (unless you superglue the clip to prevent that)
I do LOVE the formfactor of the Clickie Tool, it makes me smile.
REALLY excited to get the ReyLight version with No PWM, plus High CRILED.
future product idea:
a short tail cap to eliminate the clickie on the Tool, so it can tailstand and have a viable keyring option. (note the cap clip is quite long, the tailcap needs to be longer to allow tailstanding, something a Maratac wont do unless you grind the end of clip like I did):
I recommend the tail ring attachment design of the Thrunite, as also used on the Olight i3s:
Any updates on whether pwm could be increased? This light is going to be a nice one.
It uses current-control.
Awesome.
Just received 2 ALU versions in the mail and I noticed* NO PWM* in any of the modes, Since lumintop already makes an ALU twisty, maybe it wouldn’t be that hard for them to include some copper twisty tailcaps?

congrats on your cool new lights, what LEDs do they use?
regarding PWM
did you try waving it up and down like this just arrived CU Tool with PWM and XPG2. Is your mode sequence MLH like mine? If so, you got PWM bro, and you dont even care (thats ok too, lol)

I think its AWESOME that the upcoming ReyLight CU Tool will have NO PWM!!
And the LED will NOT be a cool white XPG2
And the modes will NOT be MLH

Definitely in for a couple! Need to read though the thread, but my wants would be better 10440 handling and a higher PWM frequency.

That explains a lot.
I missed the note at the bottom of the page which said what currency the prices use.
Updates in OP.

Please put me down for 2, any configuration is fine.
Yes. Change my order to two. I’ll get one for a friend.
Just wondering… You know that every new thread results in losing some people, right?
It does at least help to post the new thread link several times in the old thread, though, to minimize this effect.
I’d be in for one provided the PWM isn’t visible and the moon mode is somewhere less than a lumen.

Yay, no PWM!
Yay, no Cool White!
Yay, High CRI
Yay, Copper!!!
Yay, Mode sequence LMH

0.38 lumen low, 15 lumen medium, 77 lumen high
