A few months ago I thought I knew everything there is to know about which cell is best for what… Not anymore :weary:
In a short while we’ve got a huge variety of cells such as the brand new MJ1, 30Q, MH1, HG2, HE4 blah blah etc etc.
Considering all the new cell’s that have come out which are the best ones in the three main categories?
Highest capacity?
Best all-rounder? (High discharge-High current)
Highest Current?

A few months ago you probably did. 
Things change pretty quickly. I am still awaiting HKJ tests/reviews, but for high drain right now, I’m thinking 30Q and HG2.
30Q / HG2 for “best”,
25R / HE4 for “good enough”. I think the 25Rs beat the 30Qs at the highest current draw, but I still buy the 25Rs because they can be a bit less expensive. Have bought a few 30Qs though.
FOr me THE BEST is still VTC5/HG2 , considering its lower price now, great durability and exellent high drain performance…tested 30Qs and i aint exited much, on A17DD driver they perform not that good agains 25r
I have “all” the best ones, and when I mix them up and put them in the same light, any light, I can’t tell by eye which one is the BEST? :~
Didn’t Sony quit making VTC5s? I remember last time this year all the VTC5s that were available were 100% counterfeit. Did they start again?
Yep they did, the good news is that now( as of this year, april) Makita started using Panasonic batteries , thus we can get VTC5 at quite a reasonable price….before all VTC5 were made especialy for Makita, they actualy never quited making those
And thats one hella durable battery, the best/one of high current too

I saw that Liion page. I wasn’t sure if it was a scam since I didn’t get the memo about the TPS reports*.
VTC5 are the best for high-current draw while maintaining high voltage.
NCR18650GA are the best for capacity.
Best all-rounder is much harder especially if you factor in price. I would say HG2.

Is Fasttech a good source for buying authentic batteries? I’m talking about the name brands, 25Rs, HE2s, HG2s etc? I need about 50 each of 25Rs & HG2s.
I agree ... who wants an ugly battery ?
At 3,75€ nothing beats the ncr18650pf, half the price of a 30q.

OK, the shipping is not to high in EU from that shop.
And you get your package in 4-5 days. The prices are even lower than in chinese stores.
