Bought a light and a cell-tester

This weekend my wife and I spent a couple of days in Old Town, Temecula (Calif). While she was busy looking through antique stores, I picked up a nice deal on a flashlight (which included 3 "D" cells) and a cell-tester. The Eveready flashlight is from around 1948. Not sure about the cell-tester; does it look familiar to anyone?

I have a bit of work to do to make it functional, but what's a mod or two?

Very cool find! Good luck with getting the cell tester to work.

How did those batteries test out? LOL!

The light and tester might be worth something to a collector so I probably wouldnt do anything to them till I researched it. Most antiques are only valuable in their complete & untouched condition. Great find!

TOO FUNNY!

From the little research I've done, looks like that kind of tester was used to test the batteries of Model A and Model T cars.

Cool!

Just checkout the bottoms of those "Leak Proof" batteries!

The cell tester looks like a nice gardening tool .love the leak proof batteries ..I have an old maglight that has had a battery leak and ruin it ..it would be funny to send it to eveready and say hey man your batteries ruined my light ..Someone would fall on the floor dying from laughter when they poured out these cells .
