Update oct. 29th. Saphire informed me that they had initially ordered 50 flashlights, they will be shipped this evening. There have been 73 orders thusfar (of the 84 discount codes that I have sent out), the 23 leftover will be shipped one week later.

Update oct, 28th. The group buy is closed. I hope that everyone received their codes and managed to do the order, without or with the help of Wanita. And I hope that the lights will indeed be sent out coming friday, as planned. And that they will be awesome! :-)

Update oct 21st. With the first orders being placed, some problems arise: tracking seems not possible for this light, and if more than one light is bought, the discount is only counted once (workaround: order seperately). I informed Wanita about all this, I hope she will fix things when she is back in the office.

Update oct 21st. The group buy will end on october 27th.

Update oct 21st. A placeholder is made on Tinywind for the Jaxman U1: http://www.tinywind.com/jaxman-365nm-18650-flashlight-black-p-17090.html
Wanita is fast with giving out coupon codes, there're already there. I asked to wait with the codes until the flashlights had arrived in the Tinywind warehouse, so that after payment the waiting would be not too long (once you payed, you get nervous and impatient so it has proven to be). Wanita replied that she'd rather have me send out the codes now, with the promise that the flashlights will be shipped out next friday. That sounded quite resolute, so I will send out the codes tonight. There's $8 codes, and $10 codes for the people who did not receive their Romisen UV-light.

Update oct 20th. It is confirmed that the group can go over 50 pieces. I suggested to run this gb for one more week and then close it.

Update oct 19th. We are almost at 50, sooner than expected and unfortunately I have not settled yet with Tinywind what happens if we get over 50. I have asked a few questions to Wanita from Tinywind but she's away now and will not be back until tomorrow.. I assume we can just get over 50 no problem, but mind the small chance that your entry will not be honoured.

As I have an impeccable record in hosting group buys here's a next one. Discussing several options with Tinywind how to make up for the people who did not receive their lights in the Romisen group buy, I suggested this flashlight for a next group buy. It now looks like that Tinywind is not again going into a custom light adventure very soon, and this flashlight I think is a good option in stock form.
The group buy is for a Jaxman U1, a 365nm UV flashlight that has a UV-pass filter, that blocks any visible light that comes out of the led while transmitting the UV.
The light will sell at Tinywind for $29,99, but the group buy price will be $21.99 shipped, if 50 pieces are signed up for. In addition, people who have missed out on the Romisen double UV group buy get an extra $2 discount, it will be $19.99 for them. (when posting interest for this group buy, could you please mention if you are a Romisen group buy participant who missed out on it)
As this will come from a new supplier for Tinywind, the group buy price is not unbelievably low but still good. Details of how the coupons will be given out will follow, but I stressed that payment only takes place when the flashlights have arrived in the Tinywind warehouse, so that there's no extra waiting after payment before the lights can be sent out to the participants.
I do not own a sample for testing, nor do I know anyone who owns one (it is not for sale in many places), but the Jaxman brand (which appears the same as Jax) is known for the Jax Z1, which is a high quality aspheric flashlight, so I expect good building quality for this one as well. And it is the only UV flashlight using a UV-pass filter, which is a very good feature I found for improving the output quality of the UV-light (see my review of a ZWB2 UV-pass filter for use in 365nm flashlights). Some comments on the used filter is in post #9. The UV-led used in this flashlight is this one:
It looks like the same one that intl-outdoor sells and that I did a review on a year ago. The only difference is that the led on the above picture looks less messy made than the one tested (updated production process?).
, but to not confuse things: the Jaxman U1 also comes in a much more expensive version ($60 on Aliexpress) with a Nichia 276A U365 led, that Nichia led version is not the subject of this group buy (it would cost too much). Here's a link to the manufacturer's page (for the Nichia version btw).
For reference: the price for this Flashlight from the only seller that accepts Paypal is $34.95 shipped, on Aliexpress it is $30.55 shipped, only if you buy 10 on Aliexpress it is $21.40/piece shipped.
For the record, I talked to Jubeldum about this group buy and he mentioned that Simon is going to release a Convoy S2+ with a Nichia 365nm led one of these days as well. I do not know the selling price (Nichia's are not cheap, expect a significantly higher price) -edit: Simon will sell them for $22.11, the Nichia276A has come down in price significantly :-) , I'm curious about a comparison with this Jaxman since the price will be comparable!- but this would of course be competition for this group buy light. My tests show that a chinese 365nm led with a ZWB2 UV-pass filter gives off less visible light than the Nichia 365nm leds, my guess is that this group buy light gives off less UV-light than the upcoming Convoy, but of better quality.
Enough said, below I will keep a list of who signed in for this light ('m' stands for 'missed the RoMiSen group buy' and should get the light for $19.99 instead of $21.99):
