Recommendation for a good charger for 10440 and 14500

Xtar MC0

Check out the Xstar MC0.

It is rather cheap and one of the few that can charge at the 0.25A that the 10440 needs and also 0.5A for the 14500.

It is my favorite for gifting with 10440 & 14500 lights.

This is what they recommend for charging

Capacity: 350mAh
Charging Voltage: 4.2v
Maximum Charge Current: 300mA (150mA or lower is best for cell longevity)
At .25 is that hard on the battery or does not really matter?

0.25A is no problem, you can even charge them at 0.5A but i wouldn’t recommend it because you waste a lot of cycles if you charge them that quick.

I have charged them also with 0.1A and 0.15A but the problem with that is it takes much lower to fill up, and you have to build the charger yourself because there are no readily available chargers that has so low charge rate.

You can use a hobby charger or buy one of the TP4056 based ones from the seller at CPF, but both options are a hassle because you have to connect the cell with magnets or something.

Just pick up a Xstar MC0 and be done with it, they really are the best option for now

the LiitoKala Lii-500 can handle anything (not 4.35v)
and is now a low price leader at less then$16 for the charger only no power adapter
and around $20 with the charger

I use this charger if it is the “Engineer” model and I can set the amperage down to 0.3A for 10440 and 0.5A for 14500 batteries.
