Could you switch me to red please? I had misunderstood something.

Three Tanna leaves to give him life, nine to give him movement. But what if he eats the whole bag?

OK in place of my six bare pills, I’ll take another red and green pill.

Halfway there, give it a bit of time to get traction. With all the GB’s in progress it might take some. Anyone interested in a wood handle version should PM me so I can order a few extras. I wouldn’t do more than a few but a 2-cell stretch thrower is do-able.

The answer was like they are in my video. Double mode, expect visible PWM on the red low mode… I’d probably expect it on the green low too.

Just bumping this. Been busy over the weekend, but I may have an update on the bare brass pills. I haven’t given up, but since it requires me coordinating with brinyte and Gear Best, I’ll wait till I hear from both parties before I say anything further. Come on, we’re getting there.

BIG UPDATE: 11-18-2015

Ok folks, I didn’t think it would happen… but I got both sides to agree, Gear Best will now stock the bare modules. Gear Best contacted me yesterday and said they could do it. The pricing will be less than $9. That’s all I know. When I asked how much lower, they said wait and see when they list it. Ok. Anyway, so please let me know if anyone needs to update their brass pill quantity or change it. I’m going to buy 2 myself. Also of note, when we reach the group buy a coupon code will be issued. You can order immediately or wait for the warehouse to stock the item in 5-10 business days. Either way it’s 5-10 days before they ship. AND PLEASE UPGRADE TO TRACKED SHIPPING. I have ordered 4 things since my initial orders were lost, and they all arrived because I added the few bucks for tracking.

Also in case anyone is worried about the quality, I did email Archer at Brinyte, when a few people had concerns… Here was the exchange.

One other thing… I know that Gear Best is handling the retail, but I thought I’d mention something. The forum members are picky about quality and fit and finish of the lights. They closely examine things like the anodization matching, lubricated threads, good machining, and fully functioning lights… It would be in Brinytes best interest to quality check all lights being sent for the group buy, for full functionality and cosmetic imperfections before sending them to Gear Best. Many of those people have never owned brinyte lights before, and they will probably buy more in he future if their lights are cosmetically and functionally perfect. The people buying these lights already own many other lights, and will appreciate a good product with excellent manufacturing.

A good news, GearBest will purchase empty module!
I have been focus on BLF group buy post for a long time, you greatly help our Brinyte and company!!!!(* ̄3 ̄)╭

I’m confidence in our products quality, and all of them are 100% quality test before sent out.
Just in case some unforeseen, we also have complete after-sales service, also applies to Gear Best.

I wonder, given that I would be replacing emitter anyway, is there a reason for me to buy white version over red or green ones?
Will the driver on white one supply more amps to the LED than on red/green one?

Tempted to get this light, but also been wondering how good it could be in stock version versus those UltraFire asphericals that cost around the same(non group buy pricing) like those UF15xx and UF14xx?

I dunno for sure. I don’t have a proper set of leads for my multimeter right now. I plan on swapping out both emitter and driver. Were the stock versions of those other lights tested? I don’t have any of them, but my review has plenty of info about outputs and lux.

Since the bare modules are happening, please take out one of each of the color pills and give me 4 bares instead.

Gotcha. Thanks man. Sorry it’s been back and forth (with both saying it won’t happen at one point), but I’ve got confirmation from both parties now. And they come with the black spacer and white retaining disc.

I know it’s kind of expensive. Especially when the LED and Driver versions are only $10- and you can get whole flashlight hosts for the same price. Feel free to contact Gear Best and tell them your thoughts! 2 days ago was the first time I have heard about any pricing on them. You know, after about 50+ emails/PMs have been exchanged through parties. Sheesh.

I suppose some are waiting on a second review by KKW just as a matter of course but already the price seems very good compared to the A6 and X6 GB’s(which it should given the stock nature of the light) and if the quality is anywhere between the Manker and either EE or Convoy it should be a slam dunk. This should be a huge step up from any SK68 in most aspects other than small size. With two pills(or even three) this should be an extremely versatile light.

I’d like to add a brass pill please.

Done! Within a matter of a few seconds you could do a complete emitter and driver swap. I mean I hope the brass pills are a bit cheaper, but I’ll have a few combinations ready to go for the light if I need.

But yeah, if you’re on the fence wait for KKW. I don’t have the 1405 to compare this light too, so he’d be the real expert on the quality differences.

My light is due in Tuesday next week, assuming it makes it by Wednesday I’ll have stock and modified numbers and my impressions by next weekend at the latest. I’m excited for this light, I think it’s got a lot of potential to displace the T20 for low/mid price budget zoomie king. I hope it’s as watertight as it claims, that’s a big draw for me.

My parts were returned to sender because I used an old address, so I’m waiting on mtn. Electronics to get the package and resend it. I would have had it modified by now, but I screwed it up. Curious to hear what you think. Looks like we have plenty of time considering the pace of this buy.

I’m not going to mod this light, in stock form doesn’t this put out more light than the Stock UF-1405 ? The Brinyte White version coming in at 777 – 900lm in flood mode ?

I am following this thread but I am not following GB any more. I would also recommend better shipping option with GB or you could be disappointed.

Looking forward for moding results from KKW and mhanlen.

You’ll have to wait for KKWs review before we find this out, as I don’t own a 1405. But I got a maximum of 777 lumens out of mine in flood.
