My EDC Acebeam L10 stopped working suddenly. Made sure the battery was good but just stopped working all together. Haven’t taken it apart yet to see if it’s anything obvious but wanted to ask if anyone else has had an issue with the L10, and if so what was the problem. I really like this light and it’s a shame that it stopped. There was no drop or anything overt and it rides in the pocket on my EDC keychain.

I tried it again with an Eneloop battery and two different alkaline batteries. Does not turn on.
For grins I tossed in a 14500 and it works!
Anyone know why it originally worked fine on a AA (rechargeable or alkaline) but now it doesn’t but does work with a 14500?

I don't have the Acebeam L10, but I have seen this happen on some 14500/AA light's driver(s) which when damaged stop working with AA rechargeable/primary battery,
but keep working with 14500 battery.

Now you can compare the L10 to the Super Light on even terms. What’s the brightest?
I’ll try that tonight when I get home. Hope it doesn’t damage the L10 at all…but then it is the only alternative right now unless I change the driver out for something else.
On the subject of changing the driver to something, has anyone modded the L10? If so, what did you do and how did it turn out. If anyone has a link for a good driver I’d be interested. Thanks
