A new *Fire and its War

This is an interesting light for several reasons.   First, its another *fire brand to add to the list.   Second, its a stubbie with side switch.  Third, the beamshot suggests that it is unusually throwy for its size.

Looks like my kind of light, ordered one and 4 Cr123 batteries.

Looks like it's an XP-G?

Rats, finally sold my 2010 509hp Mustang...now I can buy more lights!

Sold the red one too! Now guess what I drive, doing my penance for 500 hp commuters...

Whether it's Q3 or P4 or Q5 ...you don't know. But from the photos, it seems, that the LED is using newer EZ900 die (which is smaller than older EZ1000, presented on the left photo above). XR-E with EZ900 die is the most throwy LED available on the market.

That's actually pretty good looking - fairly compact and a side switch.  Has the "zillion modes" problem, though.

IDK, other than the "GOOD JOB!" star stamp on the tailcap, it looks like alot of other lights to me. Of course the side switch is unusual...but it seems out of place on such a short light.

A side switch seems impractical on a shorter sized light because of ergonomics. However, it helps keep the light shorter so catch-22! Silly

Me too //...i have 3 small sun zy c-55's  ...3 brinyte PD 30's a Sipik hk21 and a hk 22...and a Tank HC- 128.  Woot maglite clone ,smallsun 118

I have always liked the c-55 they were about 8$ q3's bright and simple AA or cr123

sipiks came with ugly tint//slightly purplish  better tail.plain and in AA and 18650 Brinyte p60's look like the sipik .. better tint , no extention  and a wire clip ,they ran only on a cr123 and a 14500 but had to steal the small adapter from the small sun(Manafornt or someone actually sells the little adapter .. worth buying if you see it ...works with other lights too ) HC -128 Tank ..Most expensive , discounted by dino direct  to 20$ /But the sent a used light or a demo ..obvious knicks ..the tank is an 18650 , a q5 5 mode  no pwm and a nice buttery tint. Woot maglite clone  q4? one mode 130 lumens deep reflector  serious cheap thrower . Silly small -sun  118 bad luxeon purple tint , 3AAA decent feel and weight ,, needed modded badly /q5 upgrade

I like side switch lights Smile

I may get the C55 just because of the side switch.

I have the C55, it has a 17 mm driver and a 16 mm LED so you can put upgrades in there as you want.

Mine is running a 2800 mA NANJG 105 and an XML. The thermal path for cooling isn't super so no more than a minute on high though Tongue out

Also with a bit of light dremel work you can put an optic in there as well such as dx sku 1920
