LumiTact G700 "TOUGHEST FLASHLIGHT ON THE MARKET"

Update 3/13
If you’re here because you’re researching the G700 to purchase, I’d definitely watch the side-by-side comparision of the G700 against the $6.99 “knockoff” light. A member on here, mhanlen, graciously took time to put together a review for us… I hope you have popcorn ready!

Update 2/21
We have yet another YouTube reviewer who ordered the G700 and has had some serious problems with the LimiTact company.

G700 & Lumitact Review

I put a link below, in the update 2, about a chip-in-fund for doing a side-by-side comparison of the G700 and the Chinese “clone.” We’ve reached our goal, and are awaiting our reviewer, mhanlen, to receive the “clone” so he can get the review underway. I will continue to update this thread with new info, and with the final side-by-side comparison once its ready.

If you’re reading this thread, and are considering buying the G700, I strongly recommend doing some research with the links below BEFORE you buy!

UPDATE 2
A few people have been talking about chipping in, and purchasing the G700, so we can see what is really going on “under the hood.” Their website doesn’t show the light torn down to the emitter and driver, so it’s hard to judge this on mere cosmetics alone. I’m going to take the liberty of starting a thread, devoted to people who would like to put a few bucks in the pot, so we can purchase this light, and have a side-by-side comparison of the G700, and the MECO light.

G700 Chip In Fund

UPDATE
Looks like this thread is making waves across the internet. A Youtube reviewer posted a video of the MECO flashlight, which even he agrees looks almost identical to the G700. Apparently he found a thread on a “flashlight forum” (maybe this one), talking about the G700.

Pretty cool to see that people are researching these flashlights before blowing $56 on the G700. :sunglasses:

G700 Flashlight Review

Hopefully the reviewer will join the forum, and chime in on this thread!

Well there’s another website up now claiming to be the “best and brightest.” In case you missed it, I found one two months ago claiming to be the “world’s brightest,” and started a threat about it on BLF; Lumitak Alphaelite This new one seems to have added a single letter in order to change the name a bit; from Lumitak to LumiTact. :expressionless:
LumiTact G700 Flashlight

My father found this, all excited that he found a flashlight that I had never heard of before (he’s slowly becoming a flashaholic, no thanks to me).
Here is what it boasts about:

  • Authentic CREE bulb produces a blindingly bright light
  • Crafted from aircraft grade aluminum
  • Features 5 modes - High, Medium, Low, SOS and Strobe
  • Beveled edge doubles as a self defense tool
  • Ultra light and ultra tough
  • Normally $224.45
  • Price: ONLY $56 (A 75% Discount!)

Found the EXACT same flashlight (minus the engraving on the side) on Banggood.com for $6.99
MECO XML T6 1600LM 5 Mode Zoomable LED Flashlight 1x18650

btw: Code: 3a0414 takes 10% off all Meco lights…

You’re the man!

oh my… great timing Martin! I literally cackled at my desk at work.

This G700 is very popular too, and they appear to have a healthy shill base. On facebook there are a lot of “reviews” in the comments on their ads from people that appear to be in the US military, claiming that these are the same flashlights that are issued to them.

What a joke.

That’s awesome! I was considering buying one just to show my father what a total rip off this website it trying to pull at $56 a flashlight

You can also buy that light (E17) for 5.99 shipping included at Aliexpress under the name “ultrafrie”

(Edit: Now found it at 4.99 same seller)

$5 at fleaBay without logos.

So, since I have a Youtube channel, I obsessively look at the analytics. I have found this G series of flashlights as a common search term. In fact it’s my top search term. These terms you are seeing on the far left are, are the top search terms that bring people to my channel. I have also noticed that Yahoo runs targeted ads too for these crap lights. Here’s a screenshot of my analytics showing this.

Nice find! That’s a 91% discount over what LumiTact is charging (even after their claimed 75% discount).

The name “ultrafrie” is Worth 0.99 extra imho (it also claims 3800 lumen!!!)

@mhanlen Nice find. And very disturbing

Maybe we need someone to buy one of these cheap clones and do a comparison video vs a Convoy or something under the title of “G700 review”. That way correct information shows up on YouTube, just like this thread (hopefully) will on Google.

That sounds like a good idea. Wait… $50 dollars

No no no, just buy the $5 version, and use G700 in your title somehow

I mean yes…. $50…. Just PayPal it to me and I’ll drop ship the light to you.
If you do it tonight I’ll even give you a 50% discount. Only $25 to have the light shipped to you!

And what about the $70.95 Alpha-TAC XT8-L Flash
(502b)

I ran across this one the other day and had to laugh when I read it, here’s some entertaining highlights from the description:

“The XT8-L Flash ranks among the toughest tactical lights ever produced in the history of the tactical lighting industry”

“the XT8-L Flash has quickly become a preferred tool among its Military and Law-Enforcement Patrons”

“The XT8-L Flash can withstand the abuses expected on the battlefield, while still carrying the finesse and beauty fit to be carried by top-rank officers”

Or just get one Here for $7.22

No, the $7 model doesn’t come with the finesse and beauty.

Don’t settle for subpar.

It shows on the website $70.95 USD was $79.95 USD that’s a big discount LOL.

UltraFrie must have a hollow pill?

Can you make a PayPal claim after purchasing the light to review? Reason being fraud?

If I’m guaranteed to get my money back, I’d buy one just to open it up and show everyone that the ones on bangoood.com are the exact same lights.
