Video beamshots thread : DBS XR-E asph, Fenix TK70, Balder BD-4, Fandyfire STL-V6, DRY 3 XM-L, SM5200 100W, Amondotech 3152 75W

Dereelight XR-E aspheric, 60k. Fenix TK70 90k. Sanmak SM5200 somewhat defocused, 1.6 million when focused. 100W rated ballast (measured 98W input), 80W to the bulb. That builidng which i was shining on with the Sanmak SM5200 is about 500m away.

BAlder BD-4 and Fandyfire STL-V6 first shot....then DRY cold white 3-mode Direct Drive.....then HIDs SM5200 100W and Amondotech 3152 75W

Interesting video. I like the Sanmak beam. Is that shown while using the 35W bulb or the 100W?

Just curious... do you ever see other flashaholics shinning their flashlights from other buildings? You could start a photon war if you're not careful.

Sanmak SM5200 is using 100W ballast 55W bulb. It is measured 98W input and hence ~ 80W to the bulb. One day gotta do some reflected lux test and see how many lumens with the 75W and 100W rated bulbs. 80W if it's really 120lm/W, it could be just a hair below 10000 lumens, but OTF could be 8000 lumens?

I try to avoid the buildings with the HIDs. I tried before from about 50m, you can't even look straight into the beam if you came from dark surrounds (no need dark adapted eyes). So far i have seen 1 small LED like XP-G kinda 400lm beam shone from another public apartment to the ground so that's pretty weak, and 1 greenie that's all. No photon war.
