Solar Charger for cell phones?

Today the battery in my truck died so I decided to take the day off. The power company is working on the electrical lines near my house and they cut the power off for about an hour today. It's daylight here so I only needed a flashlight in the bathroom. But what struck me was, what if the power outtage was several hours? I have a battery powered (with crank-power too) emergency radio/weatherband radio/flashlight. But what about my cell phone?

It struck me that with the power in the house out and no car charger (since my truck battery went dead), I had no way to charge my phone.

So I'd like to get a solar phone charger. Easy enough to look up online but I was wondering if any of you have experience with them? I found one on Amazon for $10 but it only has one star on the reviews.

Anyone have a suggested solar charger for cell phones? Thanks.

I have used the solio hybrid for backpacking with iPods and such. It has an internal battery and a built in carabiner. They make a slightly larger more complex unit with more output. Mine is well made but can take a long time to recharge with just solar input. It also comes with a wall wart for pre-charging.

Reviving another year old thread? :P

Must be. Just reading what I thought were recent posts and get time warped from Aug2012-Sept2011. Twice now, very strange.
