Visa has 90 days protection right? How long did it take you to notice the item would not be delivered? I do not think I even seen period for receiving longer then 60 daysm so hopefully you are getting it sorted in time!

60 days indeed is the maximum a seller can choose for delivery to Europe and most other countries.
In this case it was 60 days guaranteed by the seller, then some time for dispute and before you know 90 days is reached.
It is a bit unclear how long you have time to do chargeback on Visa card. The local Visa card issuer (Laservisa) told me that 45 days was the maximum and therefore they could not do anything.
I just googled a bit and found that international rules of creditcardcompanies usual have a period of 120 days for chargeback, with as start date the date that delivery could be expected, so that is completely different.
I emailed my complaint again with a link to the site I’ve found this and they will handle my case, so hope I will get back my money.

You can’t say aliexpress is bad because some sellers tried to scam you.

In a way that is true of course, but when you see on almost every site you get your money back when something is not delivered on time, Aliexpress should pay back your money, and not leave that up to the seller.

But please clarify since you state “receive in time” whether or not you actually received it.
Did you receive but too late or did you not receive?

And in the dispute you opened (you did open a dispute right?) AE decided they would urge the seller to refund you?
I have always had a clear decision in a dispute, shocking they would only say “urge to refund” if they had pulled something like that I would not think very positive of the dispute system.

The only thing I don’t like is the lack of PayPal at check out.

Yeah, I think that’s because they don’t want charge-backs. I got ripped off on my last AliExpress order (product not as described, so useless to me). Messaged seller, and he basically said go away. I accepted the order, so I could leave a negative review (2 stars). After that, seller offered me a full refund! But it never came through; it was probably just another tactic.

I could have disputed it with Ali before I left the review (after that, you can’t), but I was already frustrated by that point. If I paid with Paypal, I probably would have disputed it there, at the very least to pressure the seller into resolving the problem. It just wasn’t worth disputing it with VISA. So, I think that’s why they don’t accept Paypal.

I think some sellers there, just like on ebay, are a bit underhanded. I’ll research the individual sellers much better, in the future.

AliExpress is a good place to buy products directly from China. I will share you a few helpful links about purchasing from AliExpress (this knowledge can help you to buy from this platform safely):

Old thread but I’ve had very good luck with A.E. and a lot of the supported sites now accept Paypal.

AE gives you the option “Sort by: Orders” – then you have reliable sellers on top and you can choose the best price.

At the moment I am waiting for a lot of orders from last year – November and first week of december, those orders should have arrived by now.
But BG isn’t better – 22.11 ordered, not arrived yet – but another order a week later arrived before christmas :/

Christmas, I guess. Even though I never had that many long delivery times.

I got a weird email from AE saying
“Order # Package already signed for”

in the email there was my order# and tracking #.

Never got such email before.

I checked the order status and it shows delivered to a completely different ZIP and different City. That’s weird.
I checked with US mail as well and same tracking, wrong ZIP and wrong city, and shows delivered.

I looked at the order details and my address was correct, so don’t understand how it ended up in different place.

I clicked on the Dispute button and it gave me an error saying You can only open a dispute 10 days after package was shipped. That is weird because the package was shipped a while ago and next to the order it says I have 40 days to open a dispute.
So looks like I can’t even inquire with AE what;s going on exactly.

So far, I had a really good experience with AE, shipping times were 2-3 weeks and no complains. Crying

Anyone had a similar case?

Our experience with AliExpress has been nothing but positive. First instance – my wife ordered a tube of some sort on specialized glue for making jewelry. The seller wrote several times, worrying that it was so long in arriving in Canada. It finally arrived, with no fault attributable to the seller.

Second case, just recently we ordered two small blowers to repair a household humidifier. Before it arrived (at about the ten week point) we had no less than four hand wringing, deeply concerned emails from the seller about the package. They volunteered to re-ship, to refund the lousy six dollars, anything to avoid a negative review. We were actually reassuring them that we’d wait a bit longer. Sure enough, it eventually arrived. If we’d been dishonest….?

My experiences with Simon at Convoy have also been entirely satisfactory. I think many buyers have some notion that if they order from China, their goods should arrive in the next mail; that its sort of like ordering from Amazon or something. Well, it’s not. If you’re in a hurry, go to Walmart for crying out loud. Buy from a local seller. China is way, way, WAY over there, so you might consider cutting them some slack. Think how many postal systems, customs offices and various carriers your package has to pass through to get from there to here.

I’ve had many orders from China over the last few years; surely a couple of dozen or more, and from a half dozen sellers. Every single one arrived eventually.

Are there cheaters in the system? Undoubtedly. Some on their end, and some on ours. We could have had a refund on the fans and just kept them when they arrived. How many might have? We could have cheated them out of a second shipment, but we didn’t. All in all, our experience is that the Chinese sellers we’ve interacted with have bent over backwards to fulfill their obligations and earn good reviews.

I don’t know this for sure, but it’s my impression that AE holds funds in escrow until receipt of the goods is acknowledged; i.e. the seller does not get paid until you admit that you received your package.

Sochi, who was the seller? I had a similar experience with “good vivid Store” and a Ultrafire F13 I ordered. Whatever was sent with the tracking code I was given ended up in another state 1000 miles away.

I contacted the seller, who asked me to wait to see if I got what I ordered anyway. I gave it a few days, but since they didn’t really have a good explanation or theory for what happened, I didn’t give it any longer. I ended up filing a dispute, at their suggestion, requesting a refund which they quickly agreed to.

I didn’t have any trouble actually opening the dispute though. It may be worth trying again in a day or two. In the meantime, contact the seller directly.

i’ve ordered at least 40 things on aliexpress, they have all arrived and basically been what i paid for..

some of them were cheaply made but they were VERY cheaply priced so i count them all as ‘wins’

some stuff is simply amazing – the quality for the price

shipping is usually 2 1/2 weeks, max was maybe 4

i have noticed that anything that can be sent in a small flattish envelope will be VERY cheap
stuff that is big or heavy, you may as well get from amazon or a store here

Eas,

The seller is The Leisure store.
I appreciate your reply :), I will take your advice, and wait a couple days, and contact the seller, and see if they can explain or let me start a dispute.

Again, this is the first time ever that I got an email saying “Already delivered” and it looked to me like either a scam email or a software glitch.
will keep you posted Smile

Why would TheMiller post promo for aliexpress? I mean what would be the motivation?

First negative experience on AE in a long time (a new one too):

- bought a cheap item for automotive purposes (plastic tools)
- payment went through Alipay
- 16 hours later the seller messages me and asks me to pay 3.00 more dollars so the item can be shipped
- Alternatively seller asks me to cancel the order

I kindly messaged back and said I won’t pay more and asked the seller to ship the item.

This is very strange.

I’d be backing out of this one real fast. Seller already pulling tricks.
