I’m looking for a 12V power supply that doesn’t catch fire, to drive cheap LEDs in stationary setups (wall mounted lamp).
Specs:
- 9 V-12 V (or 2x/3x thereof)
- at least 1A, 2 or 3 amps preferred
- ground wire actually connected to case
- doesn’t burn, explode, etc.
(- optional: waterproof)

Banggood has some interesting steel cage-looking ones but from what I’ve read they’re not great regarding component quality/thermal management. FT has those splash-proof alu blocks https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10008212/1734702-6-12v-10w-high-power-water-resistant-led-driver but they’re a bit low on the amps (20/30W model have same or lower current output but higher voltage).
