Raspberry Pi Zero

Hello BLF fellows,

Last week i ordered a new Raspberry Pi Zero from The Pi Hut. Knowing that they don’t ship to where i live directly i entered a package forwarding address in Austria. Now that the raspberry has finally arrived to Austria i am given the “chance” of owning a Raspberry Pi Zero after paying an extra $50 to ship to my real address. At this point my only choice is to ask the forwarding company to trash it.

Under these circumstances this raspberry pi zero is of no use to me. I don’t want to trash it either. If somebody wants it and pays only for the postage i will be glad to forward it. Now is there somebody willing to take it?

That is bad! Where do you live that forwarding a $20 product costs $50?

How much would be shipping to Germany? Can u please ask them?

The Raspi zero actually costs $5 and is tiny.

I live in Istanbul, Turkey. I need to fill the form below to know the shipping cost. If you are interested will you please PM me?

Dear acml,
Thanks for trying but shipping cost to Germany is also around ~$50.
If you find anybody in Astria to pick it up personally, the cost will be 0.
Thanks again,
Thomas

Hi @thomashf,

The cheapest shipping method would cost $25.81 for Germany. Not that i am saying it was acceptable but just to let others know. You are welcome.

M4DM4X is Austrian, maybe he could be interested ?

I will be in Vienna in May next year, then I could bring it to Germany for the price of a beer.
Oh well, just a thought. GD&R.

those shipping costs are awful, but since the Pi Zero is pretty much sold out everywhere… and if someone really wants one it might be a viable option.

but you could get an entire Pi2 for this price, obviously.

or just wait it out and let’s see if the Pi guys manufacture another batch.

the Pi Zero is a cool little device.

Guys, just be patient. It won’t be long before they start popping up on Aliexpress. I got RPi 2 for an actual advertised price ($35) including shipping, a whole lot less than what UK sites are charging.

I ordered and received the RPI2 also from their official distributor element 14. They deliver to all of Europe but they charge a sum for shipping which is very fast.
