Recommend me a single bay 18650 charger

Looking for a simple, 18650 charger I can have on hand for gifting. I don’t want to give away crap, but being budget minded  I would like to find a competent charger like the Xtar MC1, but less money.

Please recommend me a charger…or perhaps you can point me to a thread on this subject?

AC or USB?
USB isn’t a handy thing for some people or situations.

Good question. Either one…I’d like to have some of each.

What about this LiitoKala Iii?

Have you seen this one? I ordered several just for the gifting reason.

With a discount code they were $4.04 each.

I’m also looking for inexpensive single bay chargers (AC). Someone wants a light from me and I give them a price…okay. Then I tell them they need a speciali kind of battery to go with them…they scratch their heads. Then I tell them they need a special charger for the battery…they whine.
I refuse to supply them with a cheap battery or charger. I want inexpensive, not cheap.

Or Miller ML-101 for about $2.70/ea?

Exactly!

I just posted that one above you. Looks like a good deal. Have you received this charger yet? Any good?

Wait, cheaper than an MC1? They can be found really cheap sometimes…

That Liitokala linked earlier appears to be a good value. I have gone to the Nitecore UM10 lately because of the “fuel gage” and faster charging, but it is a little pricier.

The guys that want my flashlights are of a certain age and ethnic background. Do not know anything about computers and think they are dangerous, so USB is out.

No, but they have shipped

Flash Sale is good for another 8 days. I doubt I will have them before that ends.

I don’t actually plug my chargers into a computer…

The miller only takes 18650, and I believe some protected cells don’t fit, which might be worth thinking about.

I think the MC1 when it is on special is the best option. It fits various size cells and has no buttons or modes to confuse new users. It’s currently $3.74 at GB, and is occasionally cheaper.

Waiting on HKJ’s review of the new LiitoKala 1-cell charger … oh, except for the three I already have on the way.

The people who know a lot about them agree …

and the list goes way, way back

Ya I know, but then they need USB adapters which they’ll lose or forget, or lose or forget the USB cord. They understand a plug and a wall. I’m not about to try to drag them into the modern era.
As it is, I’m building them red C8s that will run on 1 X 18650 or 2 X CR123. They can buy the CR123s anywhere, and if thy want 18650s, I’ll leave it to their children or grand children to purchase online for them. (These guys think shopping online will instantly give all criminals your bank accounts and passports).

I have yet to see one that can charge to 4.2V, i have 4.04, 4.08 and 4.11V covered though. They must send HKJ doctored samples.

Four easy steps:

1. Buy one of these.

2. Cut into four equal portions.

3. BAM!, four single bay 18650 chargers.

4. There is no step four!

Like step 4 a lot RC
Good advice here, if the three orders from GB actually arrive I think I’ll order some.

RMM at mtn sells
one for $5.50 that is similar (but probably better quality) than the tangsfire one I bought from tmart…… I have had the tmart one for 2 years without problems
