I had a few XP-E2 'Torch' leds and lost them somewhere in my junk, never found them back. But every now and then I do miss them because they are great leds to get some throw in small flashlights (AFAIK it is the led with the highest surface brightness to date), and dedomed they still have a pleasant tint, ever so slightly greenish nothing annoying, just a little yellowish white.
I wanted some again and they are only at Mouser. So to avoid the high shipping costs I ordered 50 in one go (plus a few other leds to make it to the $100 mark for free shipping). I want to keep 10 for myself, but 40 are for sale for cost price, I reckon there's more folks from outside the US who would want a few without Mouser's shipping fees.
They were (and will cost) $1.50 each, a small bubble mailer is $0.50 and shipping is $1.50 worldwide so $2 on top of the leds themselves, I do not do tracking or insurance (it is not high value and it kills shipping costs), in principle the shipping risk is yours unless I feel pity for you , then I may resend them if I have any leftover.

I have an xpe2 r4 iirc, dedomed in my uf t20, driven at ~2A, how much more lux would i get from this led, dedomed?
Wow, that link says 10500K. That’s really cool tint. I’ve got a dedomed XP-E2 R4 in a XinTD C8. On a 2.4 amp linear driver I get 112k cd, or 670 m of pencil-thin throw from it. Its a cool light. I’ll take two of these crazy-cool guys to see what a difference it makes.
EDIT: Strike that, I’m in the US so that shipping cost probably wouldn’t apply to me. Besides, I can get them directly from Mouser pretty cheaply. So I’ll just order mine from there and leave yours for other EU folks. Thanks for pointing them out to me
-in practice no one yet found one of 10500K (the datasheet says 'up to' I believe), my guess is around 6500/7000K, not into the horrible tints at all, and the brightness may be just a tad more than an R4. The link in my sigline goes to a link to my test of the 'Torch' led.
The claim to faim of the XP-E2 torch is that they can be driven a bit harder than normal XP-E2's, and that the dedomed tint is generally pretty good (that said the R3 0D XP-E2's that Mitko is still selling for cheap has a good dedomed tint too).

I have no immediate plans but they will get used once I get my workbench sorted out. If someone has an immediate need for these they can have my spot on the list.
