No great need for a new flashlight. I currently own 1 Jetbeam BA20 and one Xtar WK40. Not planing on ever spending big bucks on AA flashlights again. So what is a great AA flashlight for between $10-$25.00? Know all about fancy Nitecore/Fenix brand lights. What is great and cheap?

I’ve not found much when looking about. If you are State side then I think Mini Mag Pros look good value. Not so in the UK though. I’d really like something like a Convoy S2 but in 2AA format. I would object to keeping the same head/reflector/driver size and just a narrower body and tailcap. I’m sure 2xAA could push 1.4amps.
I think Thrunite do some 2AA’s but probably a bit more pricey.
what specs would you like?

Nice review and great images. Always liked the design and nice solid build of the flashlight. Did not realize Cree emitters are used. Had a couple of these flashlights years ago. The purple hue of the light just never worked for me. Thanks for your reply.
Trunite makes nice torches. I noticed that the illumin.com has a T10/T20T on sale in the US currently for those interested. I’ll look at the Archer 2AA this coming spring. 
I forgot all about the Solorforce brand. The T2 is a nice double A flashlight. I think this is what I buy in the near future. Thanks.

I had a couple of T2’s. Sold them almost a year ago. Forgot all about them. Did not realize how nice they were compared to other flashlights.
Nice tint foremost. Low, medium, high output. Well made.
I was going to make the armytek suggestion, because illumn is blowing them out right now. But I won’t. I also won’t leave a link either.
Just got one of the TerraLUX LightStar220’s recently. The tint is white on the newer ones. However, this only has two modes and you’re looking for 3. The two modes are high and low, but are more like a high and medium with no real low level. The Solar Force mentioned earlier looks good for the price (can’t tell what the shipping would be from that site though).
