Congratulations! Please contact me for code to free purchase.

Occasionally I found our ThorFire C8s flashlight posted on slickdeals when I searching for flashlights.
After reading the replies, I really wanted to explain something, but I can only talk here.

Some people deny ThorFire due to the bad name. Some people deny ThorFire after his first trying when the light he received has some issues by chance. Not many people know there is a defective rate in mass production no matter how hard the manufacturer do, the standard is defective rate lower than 0.3%. Even iPhone, which is very popular and has a great reputation in China, has defective rate. But people still love iPhone. I don’t know how far ThorFire needs to do before that reputation. I’m not saying ThorFire lights is as good as iPhone, but ThorFire deserves a better reputation than many cheap made in China lights at this price. ThorFire will try harder, and we believe one day ThorFire will be a great choice for both common customers and flasholics.

We always listen to our customers and try to upgraded our products. The issues referred on that post have been resolved, and we will offer better customer services: video will help us verify the issue and try to confirm if it’s mass issue, it will be better if you do that; it doesn’t mean customers have to do that before get a new one.

Last but not least, Chinese New Year is approaching. What kind of animal represent the Chinese New Year? MAX 10 US People who give the correct answer got the better chance to win a FREE ThorFire C8s (a code to purchase for free)

People who is not in US, don’t worry. Another giveaway will be held after I come back from vacation.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Barry

The year of the Monkey…

And for what its worth, I like Thorfire Lights very much. I think their quality is very high.

Barry, thank you for your improvements and the upgrades to your lights. The Thorfire TG06 comes to mind, now it is a forward clicky and starts on high. Very nice light….

Your C8’s are always great and your recent PF03 is my new favorite clicky switch AAA light.

The Year of the Red Monkey

I don’t have the C8s but I do have the 3/5 mode standard Thorfire C8 and it is a great light.

I actually do have the C8 and it’s a pretty good light. I want to swap out the emitter for a XPL-HI but the light is nice enough that I don’t want to take it apart and mess it up. If I win one here I’ll definitely try to swap the LED out.

Thorfire, I think one problem you have is that your name has the word “fire” in it and for those people who don’t know they think it’s the same as and Ultrafire, Trustfire, ro Singfire.

I totally agree with the OP, you could sell 1000 lights and 999 are fine but you’ll never hear from them. The one person who gets a bad light will complain everywhere about it. It’s like Gearbest vs Banggood, Gearbest has more complaints about shipping but they probably also sell 10x more items than Banggood.

iPhone HAS a customer service, can’t tell the same about thorfire. When I get a pm to review a light I have never seen before and do not get answers any more from customer support, well you know that’s what makes the difference between good and sht.

Ditto on the Fire in the brand name. I received a pen light and a keychain light for review. Both are excellent quality. I would have never tried your products if it weren’t for this forum. The brand needs to differentiate itself from the cheap imitation products, especially at first impression when shopping. The reviews DO help, especially on Amazon which is the Go-to place for the general public to evaluate products prior to purchasing.

Dangit I live in Europe

I read on the VG10 page Thorfire gives money back AND a new light in case of DOA, now that inspires confidence in a product:
Yes here it is “if you received DOA or defective items, contact us, you\\\‘ll have your money back and a brand new one. – See more at: http://www.thorfiredirect.com/ThorFire-VG10-CREE-XM-L2-LED-Flashlight-847-Lumens-18650-Battery-Charger-p-63.html#sthash.IdQcgIHU.dpuf”

If you create some sort of easy to damage seal that is broken when somebody opens it up other then for changing the battery AND ou chec all products before they leave the factry it should be doable to extend this to all products, as fas as I know this would be uniqe, even A brand expensive manufacterers give customers the run around so ths wuld set you apart in a more then good way
(I will post this in your other thread about what flashlights we expect in 2016)

Well, maybe that confidence was lacking a bit. Until now.
Hopefully Thorfire will include the EURO-countries in it’s scope in the foreseeable future.
After they have done the US. And after they have done the UK.

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

I found Thorfire through slickdeals. After a little due diligence, and reviews here on BLF, I bought one of the c8’s back in July. Since, I’ve ordered 3 more, I’ve got a TG06 that should be delivered any day, and because I’m a sucker for a deal, I just ordered a JM07, lol. I’m not sure the link to Slickdeals you provided was the right one, but a recent one for the C8 kind of struck a nerve. I can understand someone being upset at getting a malfunctioning light, but folks piling on who probably have never held one, made me respond. Especially since they quoted something from BLF. I think it’s great that you are here, looking for inspiration for new products, and responding as a regular. Good Luck, you certainly have my support.

I believe ThorFire lights are well made products, the quality is on par with other brands and makes. Specifically the drivers are interesting and more versatile compared to the regular AK47/nanjg drivers

Year of the Yorkshire Pudding.

I do like monkeys though.

The C8S I have is great, very impressed with it even as a relative noob when it comes to shiny shiny things.

Disappointed I missed out on the TM07 deal even though I got an email conformation – never mind.

TG06 and C8s are brilliant flashlights.

Perfect quality out of the factory. They don’t need any “fixing” or “modding” for the general public.. The prices are also amazing.

BUT they are also both great for modding if the need arises… Smile

I now have an XP-L V6 2C in my C8s and an XP-L HI V2 3D in my TG06. Drivers left unchanged.

Both lights get regular use every day, and are running like clockwork.

I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more.
