I actually have this ballast but have never fired it up. From my understanding the voltage output is dynamic, and automatically adjust to the needs of the bulb up to a maximum of 25volts. However the user has no control over the actual number of volts the ballast outputs. There is a current limiting potentiometer on the ballast though that will allow you to use bulbs under 300watts.
Thanks for that. Just as I thought. The reason For the question is the one on the bay is called XLB-300-5.4-20. That sure makes it sound like it is a unique 20 volt version. I’m certain you are correct,
and just wanted to here it from someone else.
