! Really? Even setting aside the fact that the image is actually of TK’s fancy SRK…. The SRK is not widely despised AFAIK. In fact, as far as I can see it’s still fairly widely sought after, despite the common knowledge of the quality issues with clones. If anything that seems to indicate that it is still widely loved! Just my two cents. :-/
EDIT: Hopefully I don’t sound too troll-ish! “widely despised” just seemed like quite a bit of an over-statement.
With all the beautifull BLF special flashlights….
Can’t anybody who has them take a picture with a white background to replace the current pic?
I mean, de Kronos set would look better then the now widely despised SRK that is shown right?
Well, BLF does start with “Budget”… and the Kronos set is arguably not “budget”. I’d also argue that BLF is more about making than about consuming. So I think the cheaper lights in the current logo are still more representative. Make something awesome. Plus, they won the vote (except for disagreement about whether to use a P60 or C8, and then the X6 got used instead).
Lights like the Kronos set are nice… but they’re not what BLF is really about.
I wouldn’t mind a minor logo upgrade though, to add translucency and clean up Moire patterns on some edges: (current logo on top, suggested upgrade on bottom)
Looks great ToyKeeper, thanks a ton! It’s updated on the frontpage now.

I’m getting some weird behaviors on poll threads. Non-poll threads work fine, but on polls I’ve noticed the following:
Comment titles are recorded and shown.
No signatures are displayed.
If I click an option in the poll widget on the left, then hit vote, it takes me to the wrong thread and gives me an error (but this happened pre-upgrade too). For example, I select ‘14500’ then ‘vote’. Instead of going to thread 44579, I get thread 45027 and “The form has become outdated. Copy any unsaved work in the form below and then reload this page”.
If I scroll to the bottom of a poll thread, write a comment, and hit ‘preview’, I get “The form has become outdated. Copy any unsaved work in the form below and then reload this page”.
If I vote in a poll then scroll to the bottom to write a comment, hit ‘preview’, then hit ‘save’, it results in cancelling my vote and dropping my comment.
I can investigate these more to get more details if you like… just wanted to note these before I forgot.

Unfortunately this appears to be a limitation of the signatures module, which has definitely regressed in functionality in the 7.x version.

I haven’t seen this yet, but of course I don’t deny that it happened to you. I imagine they didn’t test the code with non-standard browsers. If you can get it to do so again I’ll file a bug report.

Also appears to be poor browser compatibility testing. If this is consistently happening to you I’ll also file a bug report.

Confirmed with the latest Firefox for Linux. I’ll file a bug report.
SB, I know you’re a busy man so no explanation is necessary. But if you were to venture to guess when the email notification system might be recreated, what would be your best guess?
Not sure if this had been mentioned yet, but under “my subscriptions”, there used to be a check box to filter unread messages, but it disappeared after the upgrade.

I hope to get started working on it this Tuesday. From there it will depend on how smoothly things go, and whether or not they changed everything on me with this version.

Yep, unfortunately it stopped working with the upgrade. My apologies!
Im sorry you have to recreate and reconfigure so many things within such a short time frame. But it looks like you’ve made tremendous progress, and my favorite button has returned! GOODJOB!!!!
hi, excuse me for the o.t. but still i can’t receive the correct email notification of the new reply to the threads, in what way i can restore the problem?

This is what the posts immediately above your post are discussing.
I’m getting some weird behaviors on poll threads.[…]
If I click an option in the poll widget on the left, then hit vote, it takes me to the wrong thread and gives me an error (but this happened pre-upgrade too).
This has always happened to me, even on the one poll I created. I just don’t go to polls anymore.
Another problem I have with the poll widget is, when I used to try it, to get to a poll, it always threw me to a URL that FF hadn’t seen (IIRC, e.g. “budgetlightforum.com” instead of “www.budgetlightforum.com”), meaning I had to log in again, ask FF to save the password, and thereafter I still had to beat my way into the poll, but at least FF logged me on to the “new” Domain. Maybe that’s FF being a pest, but it only happens to me in this scenario.
Not a problem for me, but I always meant to ask if we could have a separate section for Polls… Not if this is just piling on, of course!!! Keep your course and nevermind Dimbo’s crazy ideas, please! But having all polls in a list might be useful…
Just to be clear: THANKYOU for all your hard work, as well as everything else (“intangibles”, “soft skills”) with which you bless us mere mortals!!

A subforum or other way to find all polls is a good idea imho. But, can’t be sure if others would agree. So, I think a poll is in order.

There is an ‘Older polls’ button at the bottom of the poll widget… It shows all polls in order of date created.

I just went through tons of new posts, and BLF didn't hang once!
I'd say you fixed the problem, sb.

Oh, all these were with Chrome.
Ooh, that’s strange. So are all of those bugs reproducible for you?

Yes, the first time was a surprise but I tried them again before posting.

Was the site down last night for a while? I had trouble getting on. Stated website/page not available.
OK today though.
Yup… No more My Subscriptions? Something new being implemented at the moment? It worked fine until a bit ago.
