The best way to post those long ugly URLs is by using link text like this
THANKYOU for reminding us all of what Hypertext is for!!!

Whatever works. It’s not like we have some World Wide Consortium working to filter the “Bovine Scatology On Rails” out of our browsers…
Next thing you know, you’ll be making us use such arcane concepts as “grammar”… “vocabulary”… even “spelling” fer gosh shakes!! the nerve of some people!
(PS: That was a back-handed “attaboy” in case my vocabulary, grammar and syntax didn’t convey the proper message!)
Well I see there will be no more argument over whether or not someone edited their posts. I just revisited my post about the Convoy metal switch and noticed that instead of saying “the switch used on” I had typed “the switch sued on”. I hate typos particularly in an OP so I fixed it. Now at the bottom of my OP there is a big finger pointing at me at the bottom of my post… Not sure how I feel about that.

Now I feel I should go back and add a note about why I edited it. I always do that where the situation merits an explanation but changing “sued” to “used” does not qualify in my book. Just wondering what others think of this. I on a regular basis will edit out typos noticed within minutes of my posts. If it changes the message in any way I add the reason but I liked having that at my discretion. Just my two bits.
"It is critical that there is a credible academic source for the growing and important discipline of alternative facts. This field of study will just keep winning, and we knew that all the best people would want to be on board. There is a real risk in the world today that people might be getting their information about science from actual scientists"

Yep, “bigsmile” doesn’t appear to work, in the simple editor at least.
I’m also hoping my favorite Ghost will make a return some day.
Santa is also MIA. Though I didn’t see that one used as much. List of our original smileys

That only shows up for the OP. Normal posts won’t show they have been edited.

Ok, posting links with strings of capital letters is now fixed. Many thanks to @wight for helping me behind the scenes with this issue!

Signatures are not showing up, is this a new bug or a side effect of work currently underway?
Edit: works here, but notice the problems here:

Thanks for the report. I’m 99% sure it’s a Google issue, we’ll see if it resolves itself soon.

I’ve been wondering about mouseovers, I thought I read it was working again. Yet I’ve noticed your sig lacks it’s previous mouseover.

Yeah, I've been without a mouseover for 54 days, not that I'm counting.

Sorry I haven’t had time to add the mouseover function. Until I do, it can be manually achieved with the following code:
<a href="#" ><img src=" URL_IMG-1 " onmouseover="this.src=' URL_IMG-2 '" onmouseout="this.src=' URL_IMG-1 '" /></a>
