200 new requests in less than 2 days. Wow. Beer

If you want to be moved down the list, then simply request another lantern and don’t purchase the first one. It will not be practical to bump people around on the list, even if both parties agree to exchange places. This is a very large group buy at this point and the best “solution” is to simply let your offer codes expire if you don’t want a lantern from the early batch(es).

In other words, please don’t add further work and confusion for SIGShooter, who already has a difficult job to do Wink .

So true since I’m easily confused. Just ask my wife and kids Smile

This thread is very long and there’s a temptation to NOT read Post #1 before asking answered questions or posting inaccurate information, so enjoy Beer :

===================== Answers =================

2019-10-10 05:11 UTC

THANK YOU for your interest in the LT1. See first post for LT1 information and updates from its creator, DBSAR.

———————————————————————————

1. Group Buy is OPEN as of the timestamp of this post. Closure will be announced in thread title and post #1 .

Those in the Group Buy will receive an opportunity to purchase an early production unit at a special price. After the Group Buy has ended, the LT1 will be available for general purchase, though likely at a higher price.

———————————————————————————

2. Light without batteries is announced at $49.99 USD. Light with 4 Sofirn 3000mAh 18650’s is $62.99 USD. Ignore prices on any existing item pages.

———————————————————————————

3. This is an INTEREST LIST only and you are not committed to buying ANY lights by being on the list. You simply MUST be on the list to be offered one or more offer codes and instructions for purchase.

———————————————————————————

4. Those on the Group Buy list are NOW receiving Private Messages with offer codes and the relevant details needed to place their order(s). Codes are being sent out according to the ordering on the Group Buy list and will be unique for each lantern, so get on the Group Buy list for as many as you MIGHT want. Unused codes are expected to expire after 30 days.

1 request = 1 entry on GB list = 1 LT1 offer code
7 requests = 7 entries on GB list = 7 LT1 offer codes

———————————————————————————

5. GET ADDED to Group Buy list with simple post saying “1 for me” or something similarly obvious. If you want 3 lights, ask for 3 to get added to the list three times. If you’ve made prior requests, then please include how many TOTAL lights you want.

———————————————————————————

6. DO NOT tells us whether you want the light with batteries or in particular colors. All available options for this Group Buy will be selectable when purchasing.

———————————————————————————

7. SIGShooter is managing the Group Buy list and posts updates every Sunday evening, so new requests MIGHT NOT appear on the list until then. If you posted and don’t see an immediate response, DON’T WORRY. If you still don’t see your name on the updated list, then feel free to make another request post.

To determine if you are on the list for the correct number of LT1’s, go to Post #1 or Spreadsheet and use the search feature in your browser or in the spreadsheet app to find/highlight your username.

———————————————————————————

8. When the updated list does come out, DOUBLE-CHECK that:

  • Your username is spelled correctly in the list.
  • PMs (Private Messages) are enabled in your BLF account settings. Send yourself a test PM to make sure.

Though the lists should match, the Spreadsheet is the official list, so any corrections must be reflected there.

———————————————————————————

9. LT1 accepts FOUR 18650 li-ion BUTTON-TOP cells, though it can operate on ONE, TWO, or THREE cells at a reduced runtime.

  • Protected cells will work, but are NOT necessary.
  • Flat-top cells MAY work if the positive terminal STICKS OUT above the wrapper.
  • High-current cells are NOT necessary for this light, so high capacity cells are preferrable to allow the longest runtimes.

———————————————————————————

10. LT1 User Manual can be viewed and downloaded HERE:
Available languages: English (EN), French (FR), German (DE)

———————————————————————————

Please let me know if I have mistated something in this post.

I’ve thought about this and am undecided about whether my constant deleting and re-posting is helpful or not. If any of what I wrote is helpful, then you are free to use it in the OP or wherever you wish, but I can’t decide whether my post is wasting more space than it’s worth. Despite my best efforts, it certainly consumes a lot of space.

This is your thread and I’ll do whatever is most helpful. For now, I think that I’ll stop re-posting my “Answers” to leave more space for others. If something is posted, then I want it to be as accurate and up-to-date as possible. As the GB is now live for the first group, my post is already outdated.

Do we know if there will be any differences between the batches? Small corrections, improvements, anything like that?

Last I heard Sofirn was planning to produce a gold and green version sometime in the future. I’m not sure if it will be available in batch 2 however.

Supposed to be available in batch 2. Also some relatively minor firmware updates that probably the vast majority of people will never notice or want to take advantage of.
