world's tiniest

That’s kinda unique. But too bad no beamshots or anything to sorta see how it looks turned on.

Nice sales pitch
But how they avoid showing the actual thing makes me wonder

BTW we have a button cell credit card sized led in our wallets
Flip the lampbulb shaped white mat finished center up and tadaa light on the spot, they were less the a dollar for the 3.

How cute is that……

I had one of those flip-out light-bulb lights and wasn’t impressed… :stuck_out_tongue:

Okay…
So nice video, but no actual info:

We need details

  1. Power source?
  2. Runtime?
  3. Lumens?
  4. ANSI throw?
  5. Rechargeable?

On second thought, I’ll just stick with my EDC. And my traditional .20 throwaway from DX.

They aren’t lures. They’re used in light up fishing floats. They’ve been around quite a while. I have a few (somewhere) and they work pretty well. They come in different colors, and last a decent amount of time.

I second that
But the flipup led may not be impressive (sure is not lol) it sits nicely with the foldable knife and stainless steel credit card tool.

Based on the thread title is was expecting to see a violin

Man, if those are rechargeable, that’ll be awesome.

Runtime?

you mean it flits nicely ,flips up and sits well ,but the lighting part
Doesn’t work …
and it sits nicely next to a
knife that doesn’t work
next to a credit card
that’s maxed out .
it looks like the lure matches
might complete the set .

Anyone in the market for a pen that won’t write ?

Ok that’s funny. I am interested to hear a bit of actual data on these. I’m guessing these are not rechargeable. If there is actually a usable amount of light it might be worth checking out.

auch, too harsh
the led flipping thing is like moonlight (not use it, always a flashlight at hand)
the folding knife is pretty nice in opening letters and packages the mailman brings or away from home, my folding knifes are too big to carry in publc areas.
the credit card tool is actually handy for holding a nut while screwing something in from the other side. Or that pan handle, so I wont use a table knife.
And yes I got a small pen that is so short I place it where the wallet folds, also very usefull at times.

BTW - they don’t offer a “beam” at all. It produces a diffused light from a small low power LED attached to a small lithium based battery. The color is from the plastic filter; the LED is white.

OK - found the float: a thill nite bright. I have one….which I never use. I remember it now. I didn’t like it because it lasts all of a few hours, then it’s done. Non replaceable battery - I opted for small glow sticks instead. (The glow sticks actually last for days, are not as bright but are much cheaper.) They give off a decent amount of light, probably enough to be useful in an emergency. So, for that purpose, I could see it being “useful.” However, it would NEVER replace an EDC.

I wonder what battery they fitted in such small diameter?

Maybe cr425?

I think an actual match would be brighter, and more useful.

And probably more run-time too

The site says that the battery is a cylindrical lithium about 3mm x 20mm. They claim that it has a runtime of 8 hours. You get 8 of the lights in a little matchbook cover for about $30.

Where can we get the little fishing float lights ??
