Hosts for MTG2?

I picked up a bunch of MTG2’s on Noctigons for cheap, 3× 20mm and 1× 16mm. One 20mm I will use in a Convoy L2, but I’m looking for inspiration for the rest of them.

What hosts would be fun to put MTG2’s in?

For the 16mm, I am looking at a Convoy S something, but not sure what reflector would work.

The Yezl Y3 with extension tube for 2 × 18650/26650 will drive the MT-G2 with the stock driver. There is some PWM on the lower modes but if you are fussy you could fit a better driver.
You will need to carefully open up the hole in the base of the reflector.

One of the simplest mods I’ve done and gives a great smooth beam with decent runtime.

There are a couple of good threads here on modding the Y3 if you search.

May I ask exactly what optics it is? Would like to order to try out.

Was that made using the integrated shelf version of the M2?

VaKo, I don’t know if this would work with any of the Noctigons you have. But, I have been wondering about the MTG2 with the Supfire L6, 26650 style C8:

Looks like it could be a host for a budget version of the Fenix PD40, to me. Anyone know of a reason it wouldn’t be suitable?

It’s a Carlco optic for MTG. I got it from mouser. It fit the M1 perfectly.
Here’s a LINK to my original post. There should be a link to the optic somewhere in the thread.

The Supfire L6 looks good buy IIRC there is no such thing as a 26350 battery and there isn’t a functional 6v boost driver on the market. Otherwise it looks good.

So far the M1+TIR looks good, and I think that if I was to bore out the 7mm hole on a OP C8 reflector I could get one working in that (with the reflector sitting on the lip of the MTG2 die, not sure if that is a good idea or not)
