I received your kit a while ago. I receive my flashlight today : http://www.banggood.com/Convoy-M2-Upgrade-Version-DIY-EDC-LED-Flashlight-Host-1-x-18650-p-951513.html
new version without pill
The only problem I had to assemble it is with the ring with a groove that fit inside the flaslight over the optic, there were an asperity. I file it and everything fit nicely.
I put the o-ring that come with the flashlight inside the grove on this ring and the lens over it and screw the stainless steel ring over it. I have bought verything from you except the flashlihgt and the driver ( pill, leds, optic ) and no problem so far
Thanks
Robert

Does not appear that the M2 offered from BG is the ultra Flat black M2 with “TM” after the Convoy name.
I had no fitment issues with the same light host you have linked and used.
My Flat black Host came from GearBest and I have another assembled single emitter Flat Black “TM” light I received direct from Simon of Convoy.

Problems I experienced were from the ultra Flat Black M2 that Has the “TM” after the Convoy Name. This also Has the integrated emitter shelf and may possibly be the Newest offering from Simon.
The Quad I built is done and I used thermal epoxy for the Copper spacer in the host and I can not take it apart.
I am awaiting others that have used the Same host I have to report.
MAYBE… I received a mis made host that was rejected as a complete light due to fitment issues. I do not know.
I did what I saw fit to get my light built with the parts I had. Its Done and I am satisfied with it.

The problem I had is not the flashlight, it was the copper ring with a groove on top in witch I put the o-ring that come with the flashlight. There was an asperity all around on the outside of that ring and that ring didn’t go inside the flashlight deep enough. I only tried if the parts fit and everything fit as it should. I took photos but I don’t know how to post it here !

Sorry Robert,
I had several problems with a newer M2 host and was directing the issues I had in comparison to the host you used. My issues are in the What Did You Mod Today thread.

Yes the brass ring is tight because there are raised edges on the inside and outside of the ring from machining the tops and bottom after the OD/ID.
That ring does not fit the later M2 even after deburring the edges.

I have met this problems with SS rings in X5 set, 50% of manufactured were defects so I decided to use brass for such parts.
I`m checking all IDs to make sure there is more than 24.0mm to fit carclo quad inside, while external diameter is not so important because (as I thought) all hosts are same and 0.1-0.2mm gap will be enough. I hope all stock glass lens are same size (28.9mm), so I will make 28.6-28.8mm external ring diameter next time.

I ordered a few X6 AL heatsinks on 5 Oct. I was surprised to receive them today 15 Oct. I’d say that was pretty quick shipping. The heatsinks look great. Thanks kiriba-ru

It is universal. Even single.
I wont show drawings because they do not show real proportions. Let it be made first.

I want to get the Convoy M2 carclo quad copper spacer + brass liner. Just want to make sure that this is the whole kit right?

How about the M1 quad copper spacer? Can I order the whole kit as well?

Thanks!

What do you mean by “whole kit”? With leds and pcb?
Do you already have M2 host?

What do you mean “kit”? Solder leds to pcb and pcb to the spacer? When I have parts in stock I offer such services for free.
Anyway next parts will not be ready earlier than 3 weeks after this message.

I dont like when glass lens are pressed with the tir lens and when this is the only way to give pressure between o-ring and host, but X7 trasfotmation was designed this way. If it wont work and somebody will broke glass lenses, I will make rings between head top and bezel.
hexcode wrote:

Yes, if CUTE-3 optics will be still in stock.

You (and other members too) can simply reserve parts when they are in stock. I will take plastic box, write your nick over and parts that were in stock at this moment will be waiting until you order could be full completed.

I just built 2x XP-G3 S2+ lights with your spacers, they work great! I am sure I will be ordering more.

Mixed tint triple = amazing.
