Yes exactly! I was thinking of doing something foolish with my all-copper S2+, a FET driver and a XHP70.2. If I were Simon I wouldn’t want to deal with the headache of customers not understanding that you can’t just slap 2S cells into your regular S2+ without releasing the magic smoke.
Solder blob 1×18350 and one flat top, use in series and see how fast your xhp70 becomes really exciting for the day you mod it until you realize FET driving an xhp70 at low modes is inefficient and ugly. Just slice and dice a 3v xhp50.2 and you will have dozens of driver choices
You can always FET+1 the XHP70.2. The 7135s aren’t technically rated for more than 6V but my L6 driver is doing fine so far.
Yep. I confuse you sometimes, you usually think in one direction.
I have thought about spacers for the mule config since Hank made such pcbs. I wanted to try a smaller board in S21A but realized that bezel opening is not big enough and too much light will be waisted.
It will be hard to fit o-ring like I did it in S11. Convoy lights are “meaty”, there is enough room in all directions. Noctigons (emisar) are tiny, thin and lightweight. I have never made anything for f3a or d4 or other well designed tiny lights – they are already piece of art, they are hard to improve.
P.S. I have not read much about new leds for few years. I am right if I suppose that your request comes from the fact that there are various of great leds in 3535 case, while all multi-led arrays like xhp70 still have ugly tint and not many cct options?
Noctigons are tiny indeed but it is the reason I chose this combo. We need some space between LED and bezel and D4S (or even X6 w/ “Angie” spacer) is actually too big since Angie optic is ~35mm and mule MCPCB is only 24mm so we have plenty of space on sides. Height will be slim compared to some spacers but I dont see problem. Maybe you cant countersink a anti-rotation hole but everything else seems ok
I got mine this week as well, really good quality spacers! The craftmanship on them is incredible for the price, and they fit perfectly without any modifications in my S2+ triple. The thermal contact is really good as well when using quality thermal pastes, having no problem with overheating. I can only recommend them, and will probably buy more if needed.
I ordered some parts a while back. They took a long time to arrive due to customs. Parts arrived well, wrapped individually and thoroughly. The manufacturing is clearly at a high level. Thanks a lot!
No, I have not made any product for S21b.
Since it has no pill – spacer height tolerance should be more tight. I dont have this host so I can’t say if it can fit any existing spacer or not.
BTW, I can not ship anything to the UK until Royal post will accept international shipments.

I have got several requests for S11 quad spacer set. I think I need to make small groupbuy.
Since Im trying to minimize my stocks (both parts and materials), I wont make many extras.
Im out of 30mm Cu rod, so copper version will consist from 2 parts like here:
Cu+brass set: $13, ~90gr bare weight
I’m looking for a copper spacer for the M1. I’d like to run a triple or quad LED with a carclo lens. Haven’t decided 100% yet on that, but let me know what you think Kirill.
I’m kind of a newb with this stuff, but would khatod optics be better? I’m looking for the tightest beam and best temp protection possible. I’m a firefighter and I want to build a light that can penetrate smoke. Looking to build this with a warm white (2700-3000k) XP-L HI LED board from MTN.

Yes and xhp70 .2
Also xhp50.2, xp-l2, xp-g3, probably xm-l3 (it’s new led) too. They all have a terrible tint.
Hi, any chance you could make a Convoy C8 copper pill?
No, all Convoy C8s made last 5 years do not have pill.
Low-cost copper pills, spacers, optics, drop-ins.

Any idea if the triple spacers will fit the newer copper host? I think it has slightly different threading
Dont see any reasons why they should not fit.

I have new copper host and “old” spacer. Working great

I would like to order 3x L21A spacers. What’s the thickness on these? 5mm?
L21A? Sorry, don’t have any spacers for this model.

I think he meant S21A
Yes S21A, sorry for the confusion!
S21A spacers in stock. Plane to plane distance is close to 5.5mm.

Fits 20mm mcpcb correct?
If so I’ll take 3, I’m building a couple quads with a 22mm optic, measurements say I need a 5mm spacer so I’m sure it will work.

any spacers for new convoy s21b?
thanks.

thank you, and thanks for the shipping heads up .
Malkoff !
Do you have any of these in stock?
thx
Yes, now they are solid (one piece) design.
1 copper and 4 aluminium left.

Sweet I would like the copper will you send PM for payment?
EDIT: do you have a copper P60 pill in stock?

M1 head is huge. Im not sure it will look proportional with tiny 20mm triole optics.

Ok so you’ve made my decision for me. What would you charge for a quad LED spacer with a carclo lens?
Custom Cu spacer+alu centering ring=$10
Optics is $2.

Dont thin so.
It is hard to achieve tight beam with small multi-led optics.
