A light which can be used as a typical straight light or with a 90 degree segment that can be attached between the head and tube for a use like the old angle-head military style lights.

A swivel-head hinge, you mean.

I was referring to the Fulton MX991/U but a metal light with a swivel head similar to the newer military issue streamlights is another option.

High CRI is a must. Nichia is preferred but high power with 80+ CRI is also nice. perhaps one of the neutral high CRI XHP50s.

Multi-color headlamp. Two buttons – one for color selection and the other for intensity.

Small battery, or even a capacitor, that acts as a kind of “reserve-tank” when the main battery runs low or is depleted.
It gives you a minute or so on high, or maybe a quarter of an hour on low, to change the old battery to a fresh one.

You are a flashaholic if you are forced to come out of the closet, to make room for more flashlights.

brainstorm? I always want the BASICS

1) a real emitter, not a lie in the advertisement and a crappy latticebright emitter
2) a half decent driver. no blinky modes, decent HIGH, sensible modes.
3) no LYING about “3000 lumens” and “real (fake) CREE led”
4) real NOCTIGON copper pad
5) solid pill, reasonable heatsinking

i shouldnt have to pay 80 dollars to get 20 dollars worth of flashlight.

i’m fairly happy about most zoomies coming out already, just a noctigon/driver/real emitter would be nice

i wonder why we dont see more “deep throw” reflectors, as an example the older “801/802” reflector was awesome, the “defiant super thrower” was another famous example… a cheap but well designed FAR THROW reflector does a lot to make a flashlight legendary… “flood” is easy to come by…

i DONT care about… survival tools and holsters and “attack bezels”… i just want the BASICS addressed at a decent price

With enough black coffee and cigarettes? all things are possible…

I am currently still shipping… REAL GENUINE CREE xp-g emitters, the classic… brace yourself? as low as 20 cents apiece!! Check out the SALES THREAD, everyone is happy… then PM me

if you are into reloading? this is my site… I inherited the remains of what was once arguably the best reloading site on the internet… its the “BLF” of reloading sites…

if you think night vision would be cool? It IS… this site i am a member of, and its basically the “BLF” of home made scratch-built digital night vision. They are at the leading forefront of advanced DIY for digital night vision, and thats gun mounted or handheld… builds rival and exceed commercial offerings…

I carry always a knife and a light. And I dont like if they bang together in my bag.
Make the barrel of the lamp not round. If its D-shaped and add a thin sheet of rubbr o the tflat I can bundle them together with a rubber band.
Or with two magnets I can spare the band.

I would like a flashlight that really is in stock when you say it is in stock. Wouldn’t that be cool Smile
Or how about a flashlight that when its out of stock, you don’t take my money for a month until I complain. Now that would be a better flashlight then the one I didn’t get :/
The best flashlight feature would have to be one that’s out of stock and you refund my money instead of offering store credit or worthless coupons that don’t work Flat Stare
Oh and ditch the Disco Modes.
