Due to its imo really convincing performance Thumbs Up ,
I’m going to continue with a little beam comparison of the Lumintop GT mini and a few other nearly same sized companions.

!!
fr.l.: Convoy C8 XM-L2 ded., Xin TD C8 XP-G2 ded. (ca. 130 kcd), Cometa 2016 XPL Hi, Lumintop GT mini XPL Hi nw.,
Dereelight DBS-T XP-G2 ded. (ca. 130 kcd / Vinz mod.), EagTac S200C2 XM-L2 nw

The beam track is a ca. 350 m long part of a sidewalk / bikeway on the east bank of Lower Rhine river. ( river course 800 km )
Camera mode manuel: iso – 100 , time – 2,5 sec. , blend – F 4.5
First picture shows natural distance , the second pic is with 11 x optical zoom.

And some beamshots with target on the 165 m high cooling tower of a, meanwhile closed, coal-fired power plant in our area.
Beam distance is about 580 m /* +*- , which is too much for the EagTac S200C2 XM-L2 and for the Convoy C8 XM-L2 ded. as well.
So here we have just 4 little musketeers left, and even those, as you will see, are fairly going to reach their limits at that distance.

Camera manuell mode: iso – 100 , time – 4 sec. , blend – F 5.6
First picture of every flashlight is in natural distance , the second one is with 11 x optical zoom.

In summary imo the little GT Mini shows great throwing skills for its size, whereas the performance of my shortly arrived 14.50$ Cometa’16, considering that it’s about the same size with the same type of LED but with the claim for an “aspherical lensed zoomie”, is quite disappointing. Fortunately it has a very nicely shining tale cap light, so it can properly be used as a befitting feature for some discreetly faint illumination of my flashlight vitrine. Wink

Because during the last months and weeks it was a BLF GT70 with a shaved dome LED made by Lexel and even
an AceBeam W30 LEP flashlight that found their way home to “daddy”, there were two good reasons to put some
lightnin’ stuff together and having a little late night trip to the nearby banks of the Lower Rhine river.

As mentioned in the title, live on stage are

First beam target is once again the basement area of a big power pole placed at the western bank of the Lower Rhine river, but from a place decently more far away, so that the beam distance should be about ~1100 m. !
Camera manuell mode: iso – 100 , time – 5 sec. , blend – F 5.6
First picture of every flashlight is in natural distance , the second one is with 11 x optical zoom.

For some better overview, the zoom pics reduced to 400 pix.

The second target is once more the local 165 m high cooling tower from a coal-fired power plant in our area.
The beam distance is about 580 m /* +*-
Camera manuell mode: iso – 100 , time – 4 sec. , blend – F 5.6

For the big finale some quite nonsensical pics of the (i.m.o.) really fantastic beautiful magically beam of light comming out by the AceBeam W30 just blowing into the infinite darkness of the night sky.

Very nice. I’ve been lusting for a W30. Are there any rumors yet about a bigger/more powerful version of the LEP lights?
