It looks like the same driver DX is using in there $15 non U2 XML 5 mode. Direct drive on high should be very bright.

Which, "non XML 5 mode" ? Q5, R2, XPG......?

Sorry I fixed it. This drop in used to be 1.4 amps max with an AK47 drive. DX went to this driver with the yellow ring on the back. I got the 1.4 amp one converted it to 3 mode ordered 2 more and got the yellow ring direct drive driver. I took it apart to try to convert it 3 mode like the AK it looked the same as the KD driver inside.

not bad, wonder how bad the PWM is compared to others.

i have a few torches with zero PWM viewable and will never get something that doesnt have a high quality driver.

a current njang brand(or whatever ) ak-47 driver i have is flawless also fenix e21, but i unknowingly got a couple with bad PWMed lights. no point in living with that. esp low mode at close range

also the high pitch squeals !!

The Nanjg had no PWN but did squeal on medium which doesn't bother me.

That yellow back driver does have pretty bad PWN, but it blazes at almost 4 amps on high and the strobe is ridiculously bright and annoying.
