I am really liking the green to, after all not really an excuse to not go green in the sea of black flashlights out there………….

So my next D4 i think will be……………green Smile What LED is another matter. Just be easier to order a black, a green with each of the LED options left(xp-g2 and xpl HI).

I think I’ll get a green XP. To tell the difference I’ll have to chuck one up in the lathe and make it my own.

I was close to buying both the (non-rechargeable) S1 & S2 on the last sale. I restrained pretty hard. But lost control on the D4…

Wanted to try out the Philips luxeon T hi cri, so another ZL arrived…….sc62d. The other want was the 320lm high, yes you read correct. One click 320lm, useful all round level for general work tasks. Over 3hrs at 320lm, no step downs or 9hrs of 145lm which is also super useful for the application in mind.

Finally i have decided for the SC63w, but I will buy also a black clip for it….

about anodized: seems more beautiful the SC62 and the SC52 than this new SC63 and SC5 MK II…. dont you think?

Great! I really like the 4500k xhp35, nice tint, nice powerful floody beam in a super compact light. Regarding ano, all subjective and from my 3 ZL’s they do vary. The sc63w is the darkest and picks up light easy(reflect/shiny). The sc5c is more mat, sc62d is light in comparison. I actually like them all and glad of the different shades tbh, the sc63w does catch my eye the most though………….i really like the dark green on that sample. It may vary batch to batch, dont know much on their process and whats involved.

Here is another shot

I do like the different shades so would not change any of the lights so far, actually prefer it Thumbs Up

My next ZL is looking to be the sc600fd neutral(xhp50) with the frosted (flood) lens……….after that i think i will just wait for the mk4 and see what reports come in.

Thanks for this shot!
I love my SC52 and SC62 anodized colour and “feeling”, the SC5 mK II is a little dark for my taste, and your SC63 seems as “very solid” colour, I think that old are beautiful than this…. but I will need see with my eyes …for my final opinion Wink

I ended up keeping the X6 I got from you (awesome light) and trading the one that I built for both the S1R and S30R with factory batteries and chargers. E-switch lights are really growing on me and after the D4 I am going to work on putting a few new drivers in some of the E-switch lights I already have (cheap amazon stuff).

Nope, not at all !

My first side switch flashlights.
I hadn’t bought flashlights for about 3 years except one eagle eye X6, i was mostly using P60 drop-in flashlights (modded with Tido’s “perfect modes”) + 1 HDS (100) SSC P4 high CRI + 1 eagletac D25C nichia 219B.

D4 ramping UI is very nice and easy to use, but not runtime-predictable. Would have liked to see a few shortcuts to fixed outputs but too many click combinations are already used.

(My first) Solarforce L2

with KDLITKER P6-NIC / nichia 219C 4000K / 600 Lumens max / 3V – 9V LED / High CRI92 / 3 modes L-M-H drop-in
(SMO)

- Edges are a bit sharp on the tactical front bezel!
- UI is uncommon for me (change mode with momentary half-press when off)

Flashlights, blades & beer
Let’s stay relatively optimist!

I have been on the look out for a good E sw host now that Mtn E. will sell drivers with D4 firmware. Something moddable with tail lock out and or also a tail Sw.
That just made me think of getting a driver with D4 UI for my Convoy L6. Thumbs Up
The X7 has been my new Fav triple build with a 26650. Built three and still have 4 more waiting.
Only sold 2 lights and I get weird feeling bout it as someone may not be happy or if it fails. Good to know you are still using it.
