Hi all, i need some assistant on buying 3 flashlights and batteries and chargers all for gifts of course.
What i have been requested is tactical flashlights with decent battery life and on/off switch on the back.
What i have found so far is listed below:
Batteries: 4 x NCR18650B at $13.29
Charger: LiitoKala lii at $3.99
What do you think? Should i go for unprotected in case protected don’t fit?
or should i go for a set like this at $28.62:
Also a flashlight with build in charger will be nice but i cant find any decent one..
Thanks for the time reading this, any help is appreciated
How much do they know about flashlights? Are they okay with handling lithium batteries?
I think a few people said these where overcharging slightly the LiitoKala lii – 100?

Actually, not much! but Peho seems to have the answer so they will not blow up! I looked a bit more at the charger. Is it unsafe to use it with unprotected batteries or in the wrong settings? I guess i could teach them how to use it.
Option A has more quality indeed..
That seems a nice and safe charger thx. The only difference is that Liitokala works as a power bank too, but safety comes first since it has temperature sensor and other safety features.
So you agree on batteries and torch chosen and we add a safer charger. Thank you guys. Tomorrow i’ll add my order. Thank you for your time
Convoy C8 is good choice and you can look at KD C8 OP i think it is good for 10 USD, i measured around 2A on high and cca 0,5 on low. You need throwy light for some purpose ? S2 is also good and its good for EDC and i personally love it for bicycling.

I’d pay a little more and go with Simon’s store to order the Convoy. That Gearbest light is only offered in one cool white tint, where as Simon’s store you can choose a more pleasing warmer tint and your choice of mode functions.
The Liitokala Lii_100 charges within specification for Li-on at 4.22v as Li-ion charging is 4.20v +/- 0.05v or 4.15v-4.25v.
Besides being a power bank & charging Li-ion up to 32650 size it also charges LiCoO2 (4.35v), LiFeP04 (3.5/3.6v), NiMH & NiCd.

All for under $4
I have several of them & rate them really highly

Yea better to teach them some peoples charger where charging to 4.26 volts so not major but still a problem… you can fit protected Cells in the c8 so that will help to make sure they don’t over drain them.

Charging to 4.26v or at 4.26v ?
I can only speak from personal experience.
All 4 of my Lii-100“s, 3 orders from 2 different vendors charge at 4.22v according to my DMM.
My cells come off the chargers at 4.19v & settle at 4.18 after resting.

+1 to RobertB’s comments. I think the OP’s first choice is a good one.
I own quite a few C8’s and none of them can match the quality of the Convoy’s.
Compare two side by side and the fit and finish of the Convoy is obvious.
The threads on this UltraFire don’t feel like they are lubed but after editing this photo, I can see that they are. Nice threads on the Convoy.
Again better threads on the Convoy.
On the Fire brands, I have to chase the lens o-ring back into place with my thumbnail. Not so with Convoy’s.
That’s my 2 cents on the flashlight, I have no knowledge on the charger.

Thank you all so much . Had no knowledge of the convoy’s. I am going to order one for myself
And kaidomain is so cheap. Just passed all the info because i think the best is to choose the modes and the tint themselves.
Haven’t bought flashlights for a few months and i can feel the bug coming back
