XM-L2 is a newer-generation emitter, and is likely to be a better option.
T6 is a brightness bin, but is usually used (by sellers) as a generalization for an older first-gen emitter.
I would actually expect you to end up with a poorly-performing LatticeBright clone at those prices. (Notice that none of the pics actually show the LED as installed in the light…) I also see that they offer a Q5 option (Likely a LB-clone XP-E style emitter) for $4, it might be a fair option to purchase as a mod-host at least…
Personally, I prefer the smaller-die XP-G2 for the SK-98 zoomie.
Welcome to BLF
Order a clipon magnifying lens so you can take pics of the led.
Cost you around $3,50 but probably will get you a refund on the light since that is almost certainly not a Cree LED
Here you go, link to the thingy all China shopping flashlight buyers should have in the OP
i have one of those jeweler’s magnifying loop. i guess i’ll use that to check out the led. i guess this recently started when i bought a 6 pack of Ultrafire SK68 flashlights. i showed it off and some of my co-workers bought some. I’m looking to bigger flashlights also.
Spammer in sight fellows! Second thread update notification this morning, same bird…
Well, now that I'm writing this, for those who may be interested you ought to know that I received the UltraFire SK98 XM-L2 U2 from FastTech and it indeed equipped a genuine emitter. Just for you to know.
