My other pair of cells from the other supplier have just arrived
Checked the voltage & both showed 3.79v, exactly the same as the first pair
I have just started a charge cycle & will report back with charge & discharge results when finished
Thanks for all the info! What sellers have you bought them from? The first and second pair?

First pair were from Aliexpress, second pair from GearBest.
Gearbest“s were much better packed
They are on discharge now
They are full flat tops. Can`t use them in series. I have 4 from GB and they came in good condition at each 3,82 Volts. My discharge test on opus-bt at 1Ah shows 5445mAh, 5367mAh, 5289mAh and 5398mAh in the first cycle. Internal resistance test with opus-bt all four under 30.
As IMR/INR they dont perform well in series with buck drivers- i would reccoment Efest 5200 or Soshine 5500 in this case
Could you please elaborate on that?
To me, what you said there just does not make sense at all. I am to get a couple of batteries for an XHP70 custom build, powered by a buck driver I am going to optimize. As I see it, a couple of these seems wonderfully adequate: at 4'8A maximum driving current, the Vdrop caused by an in-series couple of these will always be, at most, 0'3V, which allows the driver I am going to use (unmodded) to stay in regulation down to 7'2V or about 7'5V no load; my “optimizations” (much bigger & very low ESR inductor) should allow me to enjoy a driver overhead reduction of around 0'2V.
Cheers

Results are in from my second pair of Liitokala 26650“s
Cell 1, IR during charge 20, IR during discharge 21, capacity 5104 ma
Cell 2, IR during charge 17, IR during discharge 19, capacity 5211 ma
Good figures all round again & well matched, very very close to my first pair
First pair were from Aliexpress & second pair were from GearBest.
Since people is reporting low IR values (20 - 30ish mΩ), sag complaints are unlikely to arise.
Seem to be awesome cells, yet I'll refrain from ringing the bells too early, at least until I can see some properly obtained IR figures, HKJ or other reputable techie test them, and or I can make some tests on them (not soon).
Cheers

Received the first two batteries and Lii-500 charger today and have them on the charger running a nor test at 1A.
IR for cell 1 is 23 and cell 2 is 21 during the charge and discharge phases. Cell 1 5011mAh and cell 2 5098mAh. Since the Lii-500 terminates discharge at 2.8v but typically cell specs state 2.5v the actual capacity is well above the listed 5000mAh.
I decided to order two more yesterday and using my points again the total for all four cells I’ve ordered from gearbest was $20.50 including tracking.

My second order was “scanned by X ray and returned”….well.. i do hope at least GB one to arrive, it seems that declaring those as kitchen goods dont work always .
I also received a pair from gearbest. For 10$ it is a steal!
Both cells measure 5600mAh in my charger and power a FET driven XHP70 light with 8A at start!
Better then my keeppower 5200 cells!
My first 4 is in from Aliexpress, and the result on Opus 2.2 is around 5200mAh on each. So very good. Do see that others gets even higher numbers, but I did only do one test @1A
My second pair should be here in a few days since the package was processed through isc chicago three days ago. The first pair is working fine in my Convoy L5 (LD-29 driver) after swapping in a xm-l2 u3 2c, bypassing springs, foil wrapping the pill, and fabricating a copper insert to deal with tailcap contact and switch centering. Time to order some resistors to boost output current. The batteries are making + to – contact just fine in a 2s without a magnet. Fit is a bit snug but they slide in with no effort.

Got mine in today… Charged in the Liitokala Lii-100, rested 30 minutes and wow! I pulled 6.45A in my favorite pocket rocket. It is an Uniquefire UF-2200 with all springs bypassed, XM-L2 4C and a very strong driver! I am liking these batteries, my KK 26650’s could not sustain that much.
Yes m8, i allready got 8 of those and i can cleary call those the best all arround 26650 batteries in existance so far- lets hope they dont “ nuke” them as it usualy happenes
Received second pair and they’re currently in the charger under test. Ir 18 and 21 milliohms. I consider the $5/5000+mAh a real bargain. @Mitko – thanks for pointing them out. They were a nice addition to my LiIon supply.

That’s $5 each. I got 4 cells total for a bit over $20 including 2x mandatory $1.99 tracking (two separate purchases) after discounts for gearbest points.

The more current, the better
Thanks for all the info! What sellers have you bought them from? The first and second pair?
Has to follow this thread. Got 4 from the Ali seller and 4 from Gearbest. Will take weeks before I have them I’m sure off.

Can these be used in series or they are full flat tops?
USB power meter/tester thread
They can but be advised all: those batteries are kinda not exacly 26mm but like an idea thicker, they barely fit into S70 for instance
As IMR/INR they dont perform well in series with buck drivers- i would reccoment Efest 5200 or Soshine 5500 in this case

Now this is something I didn’t know… Can you explain it further? Is it because of less voltage sag?

Mine make contact fine in series
Ian
Mine fit in my S70 fine diameter wise, you can even rattle them slightly so they are not a tight fit at all ?
Ian
Could you please elaborate on that?

Do these “sag” under 5a load?
Vsag = I × Rbatt

I suspect it’s an abbreviation for ‘normal’ since there’s also a fast test.

Whatever “nor test” is meant to be, the charger does a normal test when set to “nor”.

5$?
It shows 9.20$ for me!
Gearbest still selling it @ $5.36/pc.
I got mine from them 2 weeks ago. Good deal
$9.xx will get you a Keeppower Black

Thanks for the info, I was looking on aliexpress
I see they have discount: 4 pcs = $19.99, I am tempted!
You can get a pair of these at gearbest for around $10 http://www.gearbest.com/batteries/pp_360841.html
