Features / Value:★★★★

This is a "rare" (at least for me) desk lamp because it allows you to change the color tint of the light produced. I think that´s why ThorFire decided to name it "healthy". Yeah... it is a cool function. In fact, that is the main/special "function" of the lamp.

It has 24 unkown type LEDs behind a plastic diffuser. I can not see the LEDs... but I think they are SMD type... the same that can be found on LED strips....

Design / Build Quality: ★★★☆☆

The lamp consist in a "clamp" to attach/fix to a table, the lamp, which can be rotated and "aimed" almost in any direction, and the USB cable where the main switch/selector is located.

The switch module is a plastic box that has a red LED that shows that it is being powered by a USB 5v power surce, a on/off switch that also works as power output selector (LOW, off, HIGH). And, the color tint switch. Each press of that switch changes the color tint of the light emitted.

One click, COOL white light. Another click, cycles to NEUTRAL white. Another click, cycles to WARM white. Then if you click it goes to the same "loop".

Only 3 stars because it has some parts made of plastic. 100% Metal would be better. And it may feel a bit "flimsy"...

Battery Life: ★★★★★

Battery life? is a joke? It will produce light while you feed 5v to it. But I decided to give 5 full stars because of the low current draw and the amount of light produced

Current draw:

Low Mode - 120mA

High Mode - 450mA

Light Output: ★★★★★

Despite it is a "desk" lamp... I use it as desk lamp.. But when I "aim" it to to other direction... It can shine almost all my room at High level.
Low level is perfect for reading or working with the computer.... I mean any "desk" task.
High level is too much for reading or working... High is good to point the lamp to the ceiling or a wall and light up a small room.
I have no way to measure lumens... But, I think that low is about 50 lumens and high more than 200. It is difficult because of the diffuser.... It produces a perfect flood beam...

Summary: ★★★★

I think that "healthy" is the word to be used as summary about the light. Having the chance to change the color tint is very pleasant when you are a lot of time working with the computer... or reading a book... or writting some text in paper...

At least for me... when I am working/reading with the same light for some minutes (about 10)... my eyes start to feel "tired"... so I change the color tint and that "feeling" dissapears for about 10 minutes and then I change the color tint again... I mean... having the chance to change the tint makes it a good reading/working lamp for adapting the tint for the situation / your liking...

Being a good light for "desk tasks" and also good as an "area light" to illuminate a small room.. is a Plus...

I can recommend it, but only if you can get it for less than 20 dollars. Even 20$ is a bit expensive.

I had Latin for 7 years, but that was a long time ago. That doesn’t look like a ThorFire review though

edit: commented before you started pasting the correct content - sorry!

reads interesting, but I can’t see pics :frowning:

Hey mate can you please leave a link when you get a chance? I looked for the product only one i can find is for $70 wow lol

No problem. I will put a link when review is finished.

Sorry mate. The ebay seller where I ordered it seems to be banned and now his store has dissapeared from ebay. I can not give you the link where I ordered it…

And it seems that ThorFire released a new model of the desk lamp, that´s why the old one like mine is difficult to find. I have mine since some months ago…

It’s available from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/ThorFire-Clip—Table-Eye-Protected-Dimmable/dp/B0111RB6NA/ref=as_li_tl?m=A2R9O9RPRP4XXU&s=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1454048848&sr=1-44&refinements=p_4%3AThorfire&lang=de-DE&camp=1789&creative=390957&linkCode=as2&tag=thorfire-20&linkId=XLBUAG42WIPC6DNC&creativeASIN=B0111RB6NA

That’s the link ThorFire itself is linking to:

If you can’t get the correct site - Home Lighting - second from above
