Diy Eagletac or Anker ?

Hi all, I’m after a Power Bank for a 12 day trip

I have stock of Eagletac 18650 3400mah and was going to get a Soshine E3

But a friend has recommended an Anker Powercore + 2100 (complete unit with batteries)

I’ll have sporadic opportunity to charge it and apparently the Anker will charge faster, is lighter (3 Cells rather than 4) and has a bigger capacity (20100mah rather than 13600mah)

Is it to good to be true?

Well it looks like the cells can be replaced, thus a 4 celled one can be made into a higher capacity powerbank.

They can be replaced on the soshine but it takes 18650 cells which I thought only went to 3400mah each which would make 13600mah maximum.

After having a quick google I think the Anker is 6 cell rather than 3, which would explain the higher capacity

So that Anker power bank has 20.000mAh and just 3cells? That more than 6000MAh per cell, sounds to good to be true.
Maybe they have 6 cells?

The anker powerbank uses 6 cells and a high efficiency boost circuit. The soshine doesn’t even come close in terms of performance.

I have several Anker products including an older 13000 mAh power bank. Great customer service, and an 18 month warranty on all their stuff. Needless to say, I love their power banks.

The Anker Power Core 21000 I purchased has Panasonic cells, certainly doesn’t fill it’s tank quickly, but has long legs, and doesn’t run out of breath, even when charging an Asus convertible and Lumia phone repeatedly, at the same time.

I have several Anker products and they have all been great. They also make several different sizes and styles.

Cheers everyone, just what I needed :+1:
